This is the clarity I’ve been praying for. Thank you guys from the bottom of my heart, this is SO important and the lack of distinction has left me feeling hopeless and confused especially when interacting with SOOOO many people caught up in pietism always looking to themselves, and preaching the loss of salvation for believers. I definitely shipwrecked my faith, backslid heavily and then felt like I was being kicked while I was down and I couldn’t come back instead of feeling loved and hopeful.

Always blessed by Theocast channel. Free grace theology for salvation is liberating.
@DanielOrozco-r6j2 ай бұрын
I’m still watching, but I believe Theocast teaches Reformed Theology (aka biblical doctrine) which is liberating, and so far this what they’re communicating on this show up to the 32 minute mark. I don’t think they subscribe to Free Grace Theology, maybe some aspects of it, but for sure not in its totality. God bless.

That's is one of my issues with Theocast...that they are too close to Free Grace Theology. And no...just because I disagree with Free Grace Theology doesn't mean I am a Lordshiper.

if we have the indwelling holy spirit we are holy this is apart from our actions yet because the holy spirit is sanctifying us there will be a change in us and as we rest in him the fruit of the spirit will begin to be evident and this fruit will express as the fulfillment of the laws of love (love god and love your neighbor is the fulfillment of the law)
@johndavolta31242 ай бұрын
I agree with you. I honestly can't understand how other theologians, specifically _Free Grace_ (Zane Hodges, Bob Wilkin, GES, FGA) believe that the Holy Spirit has *no* fundamental effects on the believer's present life, meaning that saving faith does not necessarily lead to any sort of change in any aspect of one's life for any reason. That is just wild to me.

@@johndavolta3124 They are essentially putting assurance above everything else taught in the bible, hence why the GES actually teaches that apostates are saved if they once had saving faith. Additionally, they fail to differentiate between necessity and causality. So you end up with the ridiculous situation of GES accusing Theocast of works righteousness, and other people accusing Theocast of antinomianism.
@johndavolta31242 ай бұрын
@@maxxiong exactly! GES and FGA adherents do accuse Theocast of "works-based" salvation and very much condemns them to hell. Interestingly enough, I do think Theocast should sometimes be more clear about their view of sanctification since a lot of times they talk just like a free gracer. Jon Moffit said in a podcast something free Gracers like to say "if people don't accuse you of Antinomianism after you preach a sermon, then you haven't preached Grace correctly".. that makes me feel iffy...

Very concerned to see Theocast doing a pod with Remnant Radio. Their theological positions are more than problematic with respect for their support for more than a number of false prophets. Very disconcerting. 😢

Yeah I get it. However, RR allowed the guests to speak openly and freely. So they were allowed to preach openly. Think of it this way - Paul used every opportunity to preach.

They are not swerving. Heresy hunters teach "reformed" people to hate them 1. Because they are ecumenical and 2. because they are continuationists. Widening your theological horizon is refreshing. If you give it a try, you might learn something.

Calling oneself "Pastor" can be problematic from a biblical perspective. The New Testament doesn’t prescribe specific titles for church leaders but emphasizes servant leadership and the roles individuals play within the church. Using titles like "Pastor" can foster a hierarchical mindset that contradicts Jesus' teachings on humility and service. It can also create unnecessary divisions and reinforce structures that undermine the equality of all believers. Instead of focusing on titles, leaders should prioritize serving and guiding the congregation in a way that models humility and fosters genuine relationships.

I have found a couple of things troubling here. I think you guys are living in the grace of God and in the life of God and in the love of God and that's your motivation and that I think your desire to encourage that is absolutely right on. However, there are things that are said in the attempt to convey this that are not quite accurate. There's just no way in the world Jesus was born to come obey the law. I know that's a common phrase in the Christian world, but it's just not true. Jesus came to do His will. The law permits slavery, the law permits a lot of things that Jesus never did and never encouraged. When we say Jesus came to keep the law, we confuse people. He came to do the Father's will. The law of Moses is not the perfect guide for living. Can you imagine Jesus knocking out somebody's tooth because they knocked His out.?
