I'm currently studying law at Khulna University(1st year). Though I'm a student of law, I have great interest in business as well. Therefore i wish to be a corporate/business lawyer. Is there any chance to go study llm in business or coporate law in Australia/Canada and practice there after having finished the degree?

The Video was awesome. I would like to express my personal opinion with regard to studying law at BRAC University as sir mentioned BRACU is one of the top-tier universities and as I am an LL.B (Hons) from BRAC University. First of all, no doubt BRAC University is one of the best universities in Bangladesh. But I wouldn't say it overall. I have done courses in various departments or schools of BRAC University. From my experience, I would give a five-star to BRAC Business School, CSE department. They are very well organized and disciplined. The teachers are also pretty amazing. But I think one should consider twice before studying LAW specifically at BRACU. This school of law is not organized at all (From the thing I have experienced) . I think one can legitimately expect after paying 10-12 lacs for their own education to have a minimum engagement from the faculties. But that is totally missing except for some faculties. There is a shortage of faculties at the School of Law, BRAC University. So, there are many courses that one can see at the websites of the School of Law, but most of them are not offered at all. Besides, Students used to struggle to get major courses at my time. I also had to struggle a lot. Though we informed the official. They just say it will get fixed bla bla bla. But never works. Also, the most basic expectation one would have after having an LL.B degree is that one can sit for the BAR council exam to become an advocate. But after graduation one has to go through a 6 months apprenticeship under a senior advocate. And to get this one has to fill out and submit an intimation form. Me and some of my previous spring batches are barred from even submitting the intimation form. Why? BRAC University, School of Law has ignored the rules set by the UGC which specifically say that a private university can not take more than 50 students in their law school in each semester. But in our batch, there were more than 75 students. This is very sad. Now we are trapped. It has been six months since I graduated from BRAC University still I can even file my intimation form. So, I do not know when this issue is going to be fixed. Even if the issue gets fixed I would still go through 6 months apprenticeship under a senior lawyer and then may sit for the exam. So long story short I can't become an advocate. Again, In law school, I think, as I am in the practical field now. I think some law subjects such as the Code of Criminal Procedure, The code of Civil Procedure, Constitution of Bangladesh. These are one of the most important courses. And both teaching and learning these courses take time. Four months are not enough. Thereby very limited things about these courses are taught at BRACU School of Law. For example, I didn't learn more than 40% of these courses as because simply they were not taught. But my friends from other universities such as Dhaka University, and Chittagong University are much more knowledgeable compared to any of the students of BRAC School of Law. moreover, there is a common curriculum, that every BRACU student has to go through. These are required for every BRACU student to graduate. But I simply do not find the necessity of these courses at not in the legal field except if someone wants to be a geyani bekti. Apartment from these if they focused on making those crucial courses (Like CrPC, CPC, and Constitution could have been divided into two parts so that we could cover most of the important parts of these courses) in two parts that would have been more effective. These are all my personal opinion. Based on the problems I faced. Things I personally realized. It was a very bad experience for me. So, though BRAC is a top tier University and has got a lot of reputation. But the top tier term doesn't apply to all departments. I do not intend to Defame the School of Law or BRAC University. BRACU is still a very good institution.

I would recommend studying Masters degree. Dont waste time for Bcs. I am not much familiar with BCs timeline.All the best.

UK is the best option for studying law degree. As a fee paying student, law degree will be expensive in every country. You need to find an university which offers affordable tuition fees.

I don’t think so. Law is a specialised course and every country has separate legal systems. You have to meet the admission criteria for law in Australia which is generally very high.

Why do you want to study law? Do you want to become a lawyer? Are you passionate to the legal system? If not then it will be difficult to establish yourself in the context of Bangladesh.

I would never suggest doing this. It will be a very confusing career pathway. However, if are studying with a specific plan in mind then that’s a different story. For eligibility you have check with the university and their admission criteria.

Sir, Stamford University তে Law অথবা Microbiology কোনটা নিয়ে পড়া ভালো হবে? Microbiology, এ varsity তে পড়ে শুনছি জব পাওয়া যাবে না ভালো, এমন কিছু হলে কি law নিয়ে পড়ে ভালো সুযোগ পাওয়া যাবে এ varsity থেকে? নিজেই নিজের পড়ার খরচ চালাতে হবে তাই সিদ্ধান্ত নেয়াটা জরুরি তাই অনেক Confused. These are two separate fields. The common advice I give to all students is that first you have to find your focus based on your previous education, future plans. Do not select a course for the reason that there are more jobs in this field. But chose based on what you will enjoy studying.

You can apply for short course of 3 defenses. They recruit LLM holders. After getting recommendation from ISSB, You will have to go for training in academy for 6 months and get commissioned as an officer afterwards.
