This is by far (and I mean FAR) the single worst cross examination I have ever heard. This should be used as an example of how not to cross examine. I can’t quite believe how bad this was. I agree with the not guilty verdict but why didn’t he ask simple things like, ‘you’ve already been verbally and physically attacked, you knew you needed to get to safety, you had made the decision to leave in the car ride home but you choose to enter the house with your abusive husband, the same man who had attacked you, to get your glasses?’ Or ‘You find your husband isn’t in bed at 06:30am, you chose to go out into the snow to search for him in the garage before trying to call his phone?’ Wild altogether 🤣

I don’t fully understand how people get like this. So jealous over nothing and turning towards your partner as if they had bad behavior. I dated a man I loved. He wasn’t like this at all but there was a subtle underlying issue that it seemed as he felt maybe someone more exciting out there. I never worried about boyfriends cheating; why create issue unless it’s obviously there (after fact found out this BF and previous one had cheated). I broke up with him for other reasons. I actually was very low key GF. Maybe that’s an issue IDK. This BF wasn’t not there for me the few times had serious things happen to me. So broke up. He wrote me a letter stating “there has never been a more remorseful man since oedipus stuck pins in his eyes”. So I got back together. I asked him during a discussion before that if ever cheated. He had. I had no idea. Not only fact has cheated hurt but had done so with mutual friend with most of our friend group knowing. So the many times we all hung out they all knew. Anywho, after getting back together I did start to change. He was always very friendly and flirty but now it bothered me. I was becoming someone I wasn’t comfortable with. I ended the relationship. I truly loved him but it seemed to become unhealthy to a degree. I remember a party at his flat before that. A woman was there that I really liked and thought could become good friends. Well, found at later his best friend had invited her there to meet my BF 🧐 and they shortly after started dating and moved in together. Guess he may have regretted doing so much to get me back but too much coward to end relationship? Who knows. Although I had such a deep move for him and even sometimes would wonder on occasion if should not have ended it, it was the right decision. Even if until this day, decades later, have not found love such as that again.
