@@Tatusiek_1 I know somebody moving from Germany to the US because of the higher pay. He makes around 80k USD in Germany but could be making 200k USD in the US. Also heard of many people from other European countries and Canada doing this, most common professions moving for higher pay seem to be people working in healthcare and people working in software and IT.

My ex husband was born in the United States, was brought to Canada as a baby. He has dual citizenship. When he was a teenager and in his early 20's he lived and worked in the US. He has been back in Canada since 1990 give or take. He has never filed a US tax return. Was he supposed to?

Civic test answers (as practiced in the U.S.) 1. Executive Order 2. Gets ignored by every legislator / law enforcement / judge in the U.S. 3. We the Aristocracy 4. A change to the constitution that gets ignored too. 5. Bill of rights, that we the government gives to you, not God. 6. The right to kiss a cops boots whenever he wants you to. 7. Too many and not enough, but it doesn't really matter, no government entity follows the constitution anyway.

Why do the parents need to be married for a child that is 100% the responsibility of Americans to be American? This is one of the dumbest, heartless policies I've ever heard. And I watch the news daiily.
@totally_not_a_bot Жыл бұрын
To mitigate abuse of the system. A woman could sleep with a brit, never see him again, have a kid, and claim the father was American. If the couple is married, you have a paper trail.

Just marry an American. Depending where your from, it may take a DECADE before getting your GC. Unless you have connections. Might as well just travel here and stay. Kidding. It is not the hype it portrays. It was an amazing country to live in before 9/11 came along. So happy I was a teen in the 90's, good times. Even Taco-Bell had edible food for human consumption.

I have a genuine question. This is true for pretty much every country in the world, certain rights can only be enjoyed by citizens of that country. Whatever legal framework or principles that country has. But what about tourists? I'm British and have visited the US many times and because I'm such a good boy, I've not been in trouble. What protections encoded in the US Constitution and its amendments apply to non US citizens whilst visiting the USA?
@JohnnyXanax9 күн бұрын
Protection from whom, big-foot?? There is no precedent in the US Constitution that applies to foreign visitors, UNLESS you have a diplomatic passport. I am a citizen, my protection spits .45hp rounds at any threat coming at me or loved ones. I kinda chuckled on how you constructed your comment. WE hardly get fucking protection. from 5.0.
