One of AH's lawyers did the same thing to Johnny. It was something like 'Mr. Depp, after you left, did you see (such and such)? And Johnny calmly answered "No, I did not see what happened after I left'. Double Duh! to AH's lawyers.

@@GroovyFeminist With all due respect, this is a very superficial view of the situation and It seems that you need to know more about the how lawyers work. The trick is not in getting you to answer as in making you agree tacitly on what they’re implying on their question. For example, when Amber's lawyer asks one of the witnesses by saying “you don’t know or witnessed Depp beating his wife”you find the witness answered, “I have never in my life seen him harm anyone.” He could’ve simply answered by saying correct in both cases that would be true, but by his answer he added value to his testimony by implying “harming people is not one of his attributes” because Amber’s lawyer tried to imply that (just because you did not see it does not mean that he did not), which an attempt to make the value of the witness’s testimony weaken or worthless. The examples are many throughout the answers of Depp’s witnesses and it is not as simple as you mentioned

This is probably 1 of the most pivotal testimonies given during this whole trial. Mr Ben King's testimony is remarkably consistent with Johnny's testimony. He never testified to a phone in the bar area. My take is that the 1st bottle of liquor thrown at Johnny caused the plaster damage. The 2nd bottle, the one that hit his hand and severed his finger caused the chunk out of the counter top.

Mr King's testimony made quite a few things evident to me. First the marble bar where Johnny was standing was damaged and broken off. That is how Mr. Depp's hand was injured and the top of the finger severed. As the bottle was thrown, the finger was between the marble where his hand rested and the ex large full vodka bottle that flew across the room. It was a moving missile that his finger encountered. This is how the top of the finger was severed off completely. The glass was shattered below the bar on the floor. There was liquid (vodka) on the floor, indicating the bottle was full when it struck him. As we all know from car accident reenactments, a rapid moving object causes extreme injury based on speed of the object, hence the bottle. When Amber hurled the bottle, the top of his finger was completely removed from the rest of the hand. I think Johnny was still trying to protect Amber and his image by quietly be transported to the hospital for treatment. The severed body part was found by the house person, taken to the hospital and reattached by some miracle. He will later suffer from arthritis and other pain from this injury by Amber. I, myself have had a hand injury that still haunts me with severe arthritic pain forty years later.

Also the MRSA ( which Johnny developed) can be very difficult to treat and is resistant to many antibiotics. It can also lay dormant in your body after it is cured causing it to flare up years later . I unfortunately learned about this when I was getting bloodwork done for an upcoming back surgery. I contracted it during the hospital visit for the bloodwork which delayed my surgery for a month . It presented as a very small red dot on my nose . I hit it while washing my face and I almost passed out from the pain . I went to my dermatologist who successfully treated it .

With him testifying that Amber didn’t want to leave because “it’ll be the end” explains at least partially why she’d go apeshit if Johnny retreated to a place by himself during an argument and why she’d follow him wherever he went. She’s afraid if the person she’s fighting with has time to reflect on their own, they’ll rethink continuing the relationship with her. She wants things to be settled (in her case, meaning the other person concedes) before they spend time apart.

Yup, i’m thinking it might go back to early childhood. With children being emotionally abandoned they become obsessed with people leaving them again, putting them in that same vulnerable position as when they were kids. Its called anxious attachment. Johnny on the other hand seems to be avoidant, which makes sense looking at his abusive youth. He might feel that if he opens up, he’ll get hurt again, so he runs away. It becomes a viscous push and pull. You’d hope at that age they would both be smarter and seek help, not burn each other to the ground…

Johnny Depp is a huge player in Hollywood worth tens of millions and just because everybody speaks nicely of him such as employees whose job depends on other Rich individuals feeling like they can trust him with even the most disgusting pieces of information about themselves are going to treat him in a special way it doesn't necessarily have to do with his character.

Depp generously helped her, she took advantage of it and proceeded afterward at trashing him and trying to destroy him, his reputation, life and career, because of what? Well, do remember, the Jury will make the final decision... by letting these lawyers act this way, she is both allowing these lawyers to look like bullies, she is ALSO removing any grounds for retrial/mistrial claiming she (the judge) was biased or acting unfairly. Their bullying obnoxious interrogation methods actually are acting against them imo. She's just giving them enough rope to hang themselves with.

it’s not really up to her to interfere with the questioning. if there weren’t any objections from the other side, she can’t tell the questioning lawyer to stop asking questions. i understand it’s really frustrating, but since it’s trial with a jury, she has no control over the questioning sadly.

I always remember someone telling me once that it is better to “command respect as opposed to demand respect.” Ben King is the definition of commanding respect. The young upstart Heard lawyer and Rottenborn are the latter. They would learn a lot by listening to how men like Ben speak and build trust through their words and nature. Restrained, refined, courteous and discrete. They have a lot to learn however I sadly already know they have no interest in being anything like Ben King.
