We need to not get distracted from the CORE ISSUE. For-profit health insurance is based on a fundamental conflict of interest. The more healthcare that is denied, the more profit these companies make. Do not let yourself be fooled by all the noise and distraction, THIS IS THE ONLY ISSUE WE SHOULD BE DISCUSSING regarding this event. $450 BILLION dollars in profit PER YEAR. ~68,000 deaths attributable to delayed and withheld care PER YEAR. He "latched" on to health insurance companies for a valid reason. Saying he had mental health issues because he couldnt handle life's obstacles or he was reading too much into something is being duplicitous. Living with so much pain IS the cause of his mental turmoil- The outpouring of support for him also proves that millions are also living similarly in pain and the "health" sector is doing little to nothing for them but continue to leech money.

The system didn't help him and it's not helping millions of other people. The elites running this system just see us as a resource to be exploited. And then they are surprised when millions of people are extremely mad at them for being denied health care while costs for everything are constantly rising. While millions suffer, under this broken system, the uber rich are getting richer and richer. Fix the system and actually help people, and then there won't be mass dissatisfaction. Otherwise, more otherwise normal people are going to snap when they are denied care, or priced out of the middle class, lose their job due in a mass layoff, or can't afford rent and food due to inflation that never stops. Eventually it will boil over into a revolution to violently overthrow the system. It's happened before in history.

I relate so hard with the chronic pain and issues this guy has. I suffered a bad car accident at 23, and wasn't getting any better (chronic pain, IBS, hard to walk, migraines, etc.) it took a long time to be diagnosed w/Fibromyalgia (and find the right meds/treatment for ongoing care). I think he couldn't live with the fact he would have limits to his very active lifestyle. Instead of working/adapting w/it he kept pushing to be that "athletic guy" and I'm sure his doctor's probably didn't take him seriously because of his youth. ADDIN: Fusion is very risky and many times doesn't help w/chronic pain.

Are you kidding me? The discussion between Angenette and the old guy she has as a guest has zero reference to what she read fron his online posts. The guy is talking about stuff that doesn't even remotely come as a conclusion from what Luigi wrote online. He actually sounded like he was thinking about life, his health and how he wants to carry himself in this life, in a far more critical and meaninful way than I've seen the majority of commenters do online. That does not mean I agree with the killing of another human being but I do very clearly see how this young man's empathy for other Americans in the current system at some point makes him snap. And wanting to take action. Painting him off as a petulant child that is throws a tantrum bc his job didn't go his way is gaslighting and missing the point completely.

obv killing another human is not okay. obv hes in the wrong. But i do struggle with health issues myself, issues that where not caused by my own mistakes. And i also dont get any support from insurrence. so i kinda get his rage

I'm sorry, but it's a little more than "adult life not being what he wanted." Even so, no adult wants to live in constant, debilitating pain. I wonder what could've possibly made him "latch onto" health insurance. Yup, totally those books. All those many many books about health insurance.

Sorry. I understand his dismay. He searches for answers and the realty shock that health care is care, not a cure is overwhelming. However, as an elite man he has all the resources needed to live his best life and not take out his frustration to justify murder. He HAD more opportunity to advocate for others and has thrown it away. He is manipulating others with his narcissistic behavior to fight for his overconfident mistakes. It’s just sad.

People can’t deal with a person that resigns themselves to an act of violence out of principal. They immediately reach for the ‘mentally ill’ slur. Also, it’s normal for someone to withdraw from friends and loved ones when they are planning something like he was; again, not a sign of mental illness but premeditation. His writings are lucid and coherent; his ‘outburst’ is nothing short of Greta Thunberg-ish.
