Also, they don't want their employees (former or otherwise) giving up sources, revealing inner workings, or reversing the narrative that a source is trying to sell because TMZ will be less likely to receive "tips" from celebs who aren't sure if their photos or video are going to get reverse Uno'd on them later. They aren't that bad IMO, but their lawyers seem like they are, and that's also what I read/hear. And that usually says a lot about the leadership of an organization. They had lawyers in the courtroom which this video doesn't show (this clip starts RIGHT when their lawyers stopped talking to the judge, IIRC), and they were trying to intervene in the case (on behalf of the defense/Amber) and one lawyer even asked if he could reserve the right to object (only parties to the case can object, like the lawyers, or even Depp himself -- Johnny could even object, but they wanted this right), that the judge rightly denied. TMZ's owner (CEO? I mean Harvey 😂) is also a lawyer, however, but I feel he should know better then, perhaps, or maybe he just has good reason for things like this, but it seemed like bullying today.

Any extra involvement by the judge is ammunition for filing an appeal. So far, AH’s lawyers have only been able to complain about what evidence was permitted prior to the start of the trial, and the 1 week break. They haven’t complained much about the judge’s behavior during trial as the judge gave a lot of leeway to Elaine (with her arguing against Camille’s successful objections in front of the jury instead of approaching the bench, not controlling her own witnesses, arguing that she didn’t have any new evidence to waste everyone’s time, objecting with made up categories, not using the microphone properly, and trying to ram through the same questions to AH despite losing to Camille’s objections).

It was, at best, an attempted-shaming which backfired... as it should have. In fact, I'd argue that JD's lawyers scored more points by allowing that exchange and the witness's clapback than AH's lawyers did with their entire cross (which literally went nowhere, proved nothing, and was a bad look).

@kristinmarie8622 жыл бұрын
@@virginiaiacoponi8311 He worked for TMZ. While he couldn't testify that it was AH who sent the video he is suggesting she sent it to TMZ so they would publish it and make Johnny look bad. Make him look like an abuser because he was slamming cabinets.
@SillyRamen2 жыл бұрын
@@virginiaiacoponi8311 Like the other person said, while he can't directly say it was Amber who sent the video, he indirectly implied it must have been. "How long does it take to get copyrights from an original source?" "About 15min". "How long did it take to publish the video?" "About 15min". So he basically said the video had to have been sent by the original copyright holder to be posted so quickly. And the original copyright owner is undeniably Amber since she took the video herself. And he didn't know that it was Amber who took the video because his version that was published was edited before he received it to cut out Amber setting up the camera and turning it off. This directly shows that Amber was trying to publish information that would harm Johnny's reputation which means she had deliberate intent to harm his reputation. That alone should prove that Johnny has grounds to sue Amber for defamation. His testimony also shows that she intended on paparazzi to be at the court house as she was getting a restraining order. Only she and her lawyers knew she'd be there, but paparazzi received a tip she would be there. And they had a backdoor intended for celebrities to have privacy while coming and going, but she walked out the front door. All this points that she intended on paparazzi to be there and meant to be seen with the "bruises" on her face.
