@@kerryweldon4981 the defence closing was one of the worst I’ve ever seen. I thought he’d have been better but he was so disorganised and unprepared. I think he knew they’d lost though because Joel Waldman was in court and he said the jury were throwing Boone some disgusted looks when they were watching the videos in the state’s rebuttal.

I’m conflicted on this verdict. I don’t believe there was a juror who had not heard of this case which possibly created a bias leading to her receiving an unfair verdict. I believe Sarah has served her time. I believe this entire thing leaves a bad taste in the mouths of domestic violence and why women do not come forward. Sarah may not have been the most likable person and there’s so many opinions on social media that it creates an unfair disadvantage and often inaccurate belief about someone. Of course two wrongs do not make a right but I really think the jury got it wrong on this one.

No. I am a survivor of years of domestic violence that left me with brain damage and CPTSD and the defense's only argument was Jorge deserved to die and you shouldnt blame her for killing him. I agree with OP that this case leaves a bad taste in the mouths of DV survivors MANY OF WHOM ARE MEN. Riddle me this OP. How does SB not remember taking the photos or the videos that literally bookend the threatening behavior of THE MURDER VICTIM supposedly threatening her life, yet she remembers the threats verbatim? Four years later when she’s about to pay the piper? The fact that prosecution didn’t even need to hammer home the many, many issues with this DV defense and still get a unanimous verdict in about two hours for the highest charged offense should be an indication to you. I am sorry if OP has past history either of OP or OP’s loved ones, but our individual past history does not inform the actual circumstances of other people’s cases. That is why we have juries.

It sounded like 5 of the 6 jurors were women, Sarah probably thought that gave her an advantage. Boone was the abuser. As far as smashing the TV with a bat, what is the backstory, did the TV stop working, seems strange that Sarah could just stand there and video him taking a bat to it, she had no fear of him swinging that bat at the TV, she deserved the verdict.

Yeah they absolutely chose the jury like that on purpose. One or two of the jurors even mentioned having kids they had to schedule their jury duty around on the record the other day I believe. Defense probably loaded the panel with moms who have children just like Sarah- not realizing not all moms with children are terrifying narcissists just like Sarah too.

From what was said the TV stopped working and there was a tarp on the floor. They planned to smash it for fun. There’s no way Sarah would stand there and not say a word if that was impromptu. We all know how she is she would be fuming and yelling in the background.

Is the defence for real? A motion for mistrial because a family, member displayed an understandable emotional reaction on hearing their son’s pleas for his life? It’s a murder trial, no matter how prepared any victims family are or any advice given to enable them to make a decision to attend court or not, sometimes the reality is too much and it was a human reaction. To declare a mistrial is ludicrous!

She should get life ... She could have taken the plea, SHE CHOSE NOT TO. she CONTINUED to lie (AND CONTINUES to show ZERO emotion, sympathy, empathy, or any sign of being sorry) on the stand. She STILL doesnt think she did anything wrong. Has NEVER apologized to the family. Was a rotten person BEFORE jorge, during jorge, and even AFTER being incarcerated. Theres no rehabilitating someone like her. Even if she wouldnt unalive someone again, IF she was let out, she would (WITHOUT A DOUBT) emotionally and mentally torture whoever she would be with. The unfortunate thing is that we havent seen/heard the last of her. She will be like scott peterson. Use every possible appeal, motion, etc. She could. I wonder, however, if she will be eligible for appellate court attorney, since she basically waived her right to a public defender in her court case lol and if so, how many times she will be allowed to switch them, before shes denied. Cuz her attorney didnt hesitate to say hes NOT representing her in any appeal cases lol

As a survivor of an abusive relationship, a police officer who was put in a position to have to use lethal force on a suspect, and just as a rational human in general..... the defense attorney comparing what Boone did to a police officer's job is absolutely appalling. Every defense of what the "defendant" did in this case is inexcusable. The defense attorney ought to be ashamed of himself, may George's family find peace and may sara rot in jail.
