Fuck man, this expansion was so good at storytelling. Most people were turned off the moment they saw a pandas, but in the end they missed one of the best written political dramas in the entire franchise's history.

I agree I regret missing it. I wanted them to skip cata classic and straight to mop classic lol. I hated king fu pandas but came back to kill hellscream and when I went back through the lore I was amazed and went full throttle until it was over.

As someone who started out back in 2004, I remember when everyone was flipping out because there were no pandarens in the game, and all these rumors like it was because harming pandas is illegal in China or some crap. I stopped playing towards the beginning of Wrath and came back in mist, so imagine my confusion when I heard everyone going from female-dogging about no pandas to female-dogging about there being pandas. This game is weird.

nice video bro, there is a thousands explanaitions and lore about pandaria but none of them of what actually happend during the expansion, since i never played it you have filled a really big hole in my soul, and thank you for that. Pandaria is undoubtly the best expantion in the game

I suggest you read the 3 WoW Chronicles volume books. Chris Metzen is one of the writers and the books explain very clearly from the very beginning to Cataclysm :)

Mop was surprisingly one of my fave expansions Yes there were things that were bad but I deeply enjoy Asian culture and so the unique little stories this expansion really made it worth playing for me as the zones were beautiful

I like how Dalaran meant to be neutral, but some of Kirin Tor were defending Theramore, and when Sunreavers stole Divine Bell they recalled that they meant to be neutral in the conflict and Sunreavers are now bad in the eyes of Jaina xD

It's interesting how in every expansion, there is conflict between Alliance and Horde but if you think about it--Alliance is losing big time in the long run. Lordaeron, Gilneas, Theramore, Teldrassil, all gone, while Horde got to keep Orgrimmar when we put it under siege lol Horde might be an unstable faction that lost a lot of leader in only a couple of years but other than that they only gained :'D

I had high hopes for Vol'jin. Then the next expansion had us going to Draenor where we forgot about him. Then the Legion show up, and they kill him immediately.

As much as "hur dur kung-fu pandas" got memed about when MoP was out, it unironically had probably the best lore since it didn't retcon a ton of stuff, kill off random characters for no reason, or butcher characters (some say Garrosh, but I think where he ended up was in character, it was just done too quickly), plus it introduced new stuff that was actually good and did world building for a new continent that is underrated imo.

Pandaria was the best expansion and I hope others share my opinion. The legendary quest lasting through whole expansion was probably the best legendary quest that I have done

I feel like there's an overall story arc from even as far back as vanilla up to Legion and maybe the reemergence of all out conflict with BFA but especially starting with Wrath. But after BFA. It's like they don't know where to go with the story.

MOP has great lore. My thing about it was that the quest line adventures had too much Pandas when they should of had more other races mingling within the Panda order.. Also all Pandas being fat like Kul Tirans seems a bit racist(Panda customizations wasnt unique compared other race customizations) ...haha.

yeah, they end up retconning what happened to illidan. i try to make these videos based off of what happened at the time of the expansion. which is why varian doesnt kill onyxia in my classic recap video but does kill her in the Wrath video. back in 2007, players did kill illidan in the Black Temple. but in 2016 or whenever legion came out, the writers re-wrote history, and they changed it to that illidan didnt actually die.
