@UpNYLawn I'm working on leveling my lawn right now. I have found that I've had LESS issues with uneven ground than when I was using a spin mower. Since the spin mower is cutting in a big circle anything uneven in that entire circle causes an issue. I was getting scalping at the front/side/back of the circle due to the ground being uneven. However, a "reel" or "cylinder" mower only cuts on the single straight line of the fixed blade. Because of this the ground would have to be uneven within this straight line. Since moving to the reel mower I've been able to lower the cut and have no scalping.

Hi, do you have to walk that slow to have a good cut? This will take alot of time to cut a larger yard at that walking pace. Thanks!

Yes, unfortunately if i walk faster it will miss a lot of grass.

I have a pretty big yard and use this thing on it and while it doesn't have a big cutting width, the ease of use and how light it is (and honestly how fun it is to use lol) it's not a problem at all. If you have anything over 4000 sq feet or tall grass, you'll probably want to buy an extra battery with it (about $45), but the charge time is quick.

Do you have issues with this scalping high areas because there is no front roller?

Yes very minimal but it does scalp. It’s good for short grass and my lawn is mostly leveled only a very small section where it looks like it scalps.

Doesnt cut tall grass well (have to go over twice) and small twigs stop the reel from moving.

@@gabemejor Did you keep the back flap down or up? I had always kept the back flap down when I was cutting it short. I went on vacation and it rained several days and when I got home the grass was super tall. I kept the back flap up and it cut like a dream lol.

You can choose from 0.6 in., 1.0 in., 1.5 in., and 2.0 in.
