Lawn - various types of lawn mowers! Which one to choose?

What to mow the lawn? This is today's topic of "Gardener's Handbook". Welcome!
And the answer to this question seems to be simple. We mow the lawn with a mower. However, choosing a mower is no longer a simple matter. Because there are many types of mowers to choose from. Therefore, a few episodes of the "Gardener's Handbook" will be devoted to discussing the advantages and disadvantages of particular types of mowers. Today, a few general information about what the owner of a plot or garden generally has to choose.
The largest lawn mowing machines include garden tractors. Their purpose is to work on large surfaces, but let's go to the smaller ones. Here we can choose: combustion mowers, electric mowers powered from the mains or equipped with accumulators, spindle mower mowers, scythes or trimmers and mowing robots. All of them got to our garden. They can therefore be tested. For now, some general information.
Flue mowers are the most powerful and the most efficient. They work well on larger lawn surfaces and in the case of cutting tall and dense turf. These are the heaviest devices that require fuel and regular maintenance.
Electric mowers are lighter and thus more agile. Those powered from the network must be equipped with a cable long enough for us to reach the corner of the lawn with the device. They are usually bought when we have a small area to mow in the garden. And we must necessarily have access to electricity.
The current is also needed to charge the batteries in the so-called battery mowers. However, when working with these devices, we no longer have to maneuver with the cable. Depending on the battery, you can choose a device with more or less power. The battery life will also depend on the length of mower work, and thus its selection to the size of the lawn.
When working with spindle drum mowers, only the strength of our muscles is needed. They are therefore intended for small lawns. Their design differs from the other devices mentioned above, which have a rotary cutting system, where the blade rotates in the vertical axis. In the case of a drum mower the blades are mounted in a special drum, which rotates at high speed in a very precise manner. It is recognized that cutting with a spindle mower is the best way to mow grass.
Scythes and brushcutters can be a substitute for a mower. They are especially useful when we use the plot occasionally and to mow the lawn is usually grass or meadow. With these devices, we can also cut the grass in places difficult to access for the mower, eg through trees, benches or curbs.
Relatively recently, there have also appeared mowing robots, which are becoming more and more popular and widespread in our gardens. Once installed, they work by themselves, cutting the turf without our presence. Powered from base stations in which they charge automatically, they can work on a daily basis. And garden owners can devote this time to rest or other work on the plot.
In addition to choosing the type of mower, you also have to face the choice of a particular model. Due to the type and size of the lawn as well as physical and financial possibilities, each of us has different needs. There is no doubt, however, that the green carpet in the garden must be regularly mowed to be healthy and look good.

Warto zauważyć, że w przypadku robota koszącego, trzeba ograniczyć koszoną połać specjalnym przewodem wkopanym kilka cm pod powierzchnią trawnika. Przy niektórych założeniach ogrodowych to się niezbyt sprawdza.
