I live in ILL, Ive had mine for about a month. I absolutely love it!! when I plug it in the garage, the charger is mounted on the wall, the garage was about 85 degrees with the door shut. I went out in the garage after about an hour to check on the battery percentage the charger lights were red and the light was red on the mower screen!! The first time I discovered this I unplugged the charger for maybe 5 mins and plugged it back in. I went out about 30 mins later to check and it was red again with little more percentage at all!! This has happened more than once at 85 degrees in the garage! The last time I tried this I left it unplugged for about 30 mins and it finally got up to 100%!! Have you or anybody had this problem over heating with the charger!! Thanks for your time!

I read a lot of comments on the various battery powered equipment, the Z6 included, about the increased battery charge consumption on slopes and long grass etc. and often wonder if most people realise this is no different to petrol equipment. Everything uses more fuel when it does more work, it’s not just a battery thing. It’s just that the whole focus on battery level is so “in your face” that we all seem to get so worked up over it. Now “I get it” for cars, no-one wants to be stranded at the mother-in-laws house with a dead battery 50km from home and no charger but your lawn ain’t going anywhere. If you don’t finish it today it’ll still be there tomorrow so chill, it’s really not that big of a deal and if it is then buy more batteries. It holds 6 of them so fill it up from the get-go. Now I recently bought a Z6 and so far I’m extremely happy with it and yes, I did buy 2 extra batteries to cover the times when I need to mow larger areas. I have about an acre of actual mowing with some slopes, trees and ‘stuff’ to mow around that requires me to go slowly in order to not demolish anything so I’m relieved I did because I have used more power than I was expecting to and I probably wouldn’t have been able to do the job in one hit. So far I’ve been under 20% when I finish but thats actually improving each time as I’m getting more practised in the tight spots. So I guess my message here is YES, the manufacturers assertion that you can mow 2.5 acres on 4 batteries is not a reflection of the world I live in and for peace of mind if you think charge capacity will be borderline then I personally recommend that you buy the extra batteries when you purchase the mower (hit them up for a discount, you might get lucky, I did!). After that just enjoy the darn thing and don’t stress over the battery level. It’s a really nice mower to use and you’ll never have to buy petrol and oil and filters and grease and belts ever again.

I can tell you this ego for rough trains does good because my backyard it’s is very rough. Just make sure you take your time and raise your blades when you see rocks.

What a great trial, thank you. I’m dreaming for a ride on motor like this but my mowing challenge is quite hilly. I wonder what effect that would create for this, perhaps less battery time as it might use more charge to climb a hill?

Thanks. The harder you use it the more battery power you’d use but I think this would do alright.

What angle of hill is the unit rated for be able to run horizontal across? My dual bar is limited to 15 degree hill.

I believe it’s 15. The largest slope I had availability to was about 7-8. Felt ok

Can you run it with 5 batteries or do you have to put them into the machine it matched pairs?

Any size lawn kzbin.info/www/bejne/mJa7gaOFl7CKfNE LOL No seriously I have a Z6 for 1/3 of an acre it all depends on if you like how fast a push mower does your yard. I can knock mine out in 20min. Though I don't like the Esteer ill take a traditional zero turn

We see how these egos cut on flat grass grounds, but show more on rough trains, uphills down hills. What are the results then?

It is a valid question. I can't answer because I only had it a short time and returned it. The area I had to work with was the area I had to work with. Just how it is. This area isn't super flat and can be a bit bumpy but I am imagining you are meaning a tougher terrain.

Why would you blow your grass onto the concrete? Especially with wet grass
