Love this informative podcast! And the Jimmy Buffet reference, Changes in latitude, made my day!

I'd like to see CEC and Organic Matter results added to these tests.
@gamecock246511 ай бұрын
Through the phone app it doesn’t show those test results but I remember viewing my last soil test results through a website and it did show additional test results that were not shown in the app. It may have been through the My Soil website.

That would be a nice improvement, I had to do another test after having John at GreenCounty do a consultation. The CEC made a big difference in the quantity and number of applications I have to do.

I just checked my results through the YM website and I was mistaken. It did not show CEC or organic matter like I had thought. ☹️

Nice to get a lawn podcast again. This was a good one. After 2 years on an almost all liquid program it looks much better, the invasive Bermuda does make the front look strange this time of year. Because of my soil tests I run a centipede firt 1-15-1 with the liquid. This was after putting down 3 lbs over the course of a year. The soil test didn’t budge. But the yard looks great. I did use the new soil fit a few times at the end of the season. ✌️

Soil Fit is a really good product. I am going to expand that line of natural based ferts for sure.

Excellent podcast. Very informative and accessible discussion for home owners to understand. This is quality data that helps us all understand a little more to make the best choices for our lawns.

awesome! Glad you enjoyed it Cap!

This was strategically helpful to understand the whys of our application tactics. You’ve done excellent videos in the past regarding insects, disease and treatment of those threats in the lawn. Future podcast idea: Can we get interviews with people you would consider experts on those topics?

What happened to all your podcasts on Spotify?

Will this be on Spotify? I noticed almost all the Lawns Across America podcast episodes have been deleted from Spotify except 2. Will they be reuploaded?
@LawnsAcrossAmerica11 ай бұрын
yeah I'm not sure what is going on with Spotify. I need to make some time to get in there and see why they dropped off.

they will be quite different. Our test uses a different methodology. Here is more info www.mysoiltesting.com/pages/technology

Very informative, loved it. I got tuned onto MySoil via another social media influencer for warm season grass prior to going through the YM Bootcamp. Nice partnership between Yard Mastery and MySoil; using the YM app and the branded soil test kits as a one-stop shop to manage my entire lawn rather than doing it piecemeal (nothing wrong with that approach but the YM ecosystem is easier to follow!)

Had a beautiful lawn in the summer, but now around the edges of the retaining wall I have bare spots and runs. I also have dead spots in the yard @ 3 ft in diameter. Got any ideas. Have a carried out you soil program with soil test I’m stumped.

Allyn- if you test every 2-3 years, do you simply follow the fertilization program from the previous year until you retest and get new recommendations?
@LawnsAcrossAmerica11 ай бұрын
yes correct, just stick with the custom program the app recommends for 2-3 years.
@adamhaller534711 ай бұрын
Phenomenal show Allyn! Kept me engaged the enitre time. Question: With potassium being "sticky" and your soil test showing low levels, are you going to throw down pure potassium and followbtue draw down method? Or stick with whats in the fert + bio stimulants?
@TheLawnCareNut11 ай бұрын
Mostly going to rely on Stress Blend and Flagship because they both have potassium. If I find a broken bag of the 0-0-48 SOP at the warehouse, I'll probably throw that down too at least once.

Can this lab test not only soil samples, but also samples of the fertilizers I use? Specifically, tests of a combination of fertilizers that I create and use at once, both granular and liquid, and organic fertilizers like compost, etc? I think it would be very beneficial to analyze and confirm the analysis of the different variety of sourced fertilizers. I also wanted to provide some feedback on this video and let you know has been one of the most informative and useful videos you have done and find myself watching rewatching it. Thanks for being my go to for information but also enjoyment while mowing over the last several years!
@JamesDean5333311 ай бұрын
Your fertilizers are a high SGN. With my HOC being around 5/8”, is that a concern?
@LawnsAcrossAmerica11 ай бұрын
It could be that the prills sit up high in the lawn for sure. Probably not the best choice for a lawn mowed that low.
@wilsonline9011 ай бұрын
they didn't like it when he said you don't need to test every year. look at their face lol
