I don’t usually comment on KZbin anymore, but I absolutely love your music. I’m 50 and you have restored my faith in your generation’s ability to make real music and play live with no auto tune or backing tracks! I wish you included Shot on the acoustic-ish album, but I’m guessing that video was posted way before you guys were calling them “acoustic-ish” songs. I do hope you include that one next time you release another acoustic album!!

Things I like about this: - The bongo opening - "HEADLINE READS FINE" in unison - Clyde's shirt - Literally every solo - Jammy piano solo - The subtle cheers and hype in the background - That bridge that has me leaving something good to say - Linus literally making this the family business - The vocal flair of each singer in the choir - The on-point camerawork - JUMPING! This feels like it should be in the soundtrack for a movie. The ending feels like something I'd hear right before credits roll. Watching the premiere was worth it. Thanks for giving us a good morning! Can't wait to see y'all on tour!

If you put this exact performance on SNL, Lawrence would be playing arenas in a year.
@Merc-zf8zz2 ай бұрын
I’d love to see it, but nope. Sorry. Lorne Michaels/SNL seems to prefer performers who like live vocals buried in a mix with an album track. Watching acts like Sabrina Carpenter and Dua Lipa this past season made me want to throw something at the tv. Years ago, we laughed at Ashlee Simpson’s on-air flub. Now, stagecraft > musical talent seems the standard. It should be renamed Saturday Night Live-ish.
@domirago2 ай бұрын
Technically they've already been playing arenas this year, as the opening to Jonas brothers. And I'm pretty sure they would get their own act in no time

Clyde - the bastard son of Randy Newman and Ray Charles on overdrive - with his incomprehensible playing and somewhat Vishnu-like multitudinous paws rocking out these many piano licks to perfection. Gracie - Aretha Franklin meets the Goddess Athena on steroids - belting out the most soulful, yet improbable chords/range with such beauty and panache with lifetimes of style to spare on too many fronts to even begin to comprehend. Timeless. That, combined with these range-filled, spine-chilling singers and incredible band/players….? Dizzying yet so very humbling. Inspirational galore, yet somewhat distressing to even call myself a musician anymore after witnessing these two extraterrestrial wunderkinds who have recently become my newest obsession. This kind of talent, energy, songwriting, composition, enthusiasm and overall performance is JUST what we need for these sunken times. You have a new fan and I presume MANY new others in tow.
