Johnny deserved this appreciation episode soo much! He's so decent and nice and even if he doesn't like the spotlight he really deserves it

This episode comes at the exact time I need it. My mom died this past week and despite the sadness I decided to still go to the Lawrence Concert in Portland last Monday, mostly as a tribute to her (she loved to sing and was in choir and musical theater). When Gracie sang Funeral I cried like a baby, and watching this episode sets me off again, but it was the correct decision to go to the concert that night- to celebrate the beauty of life and those who have lived a full one - that is the right path to take. And Lawrence so rocked Roseland that evening!

You made the right decision going to the concert. Sending you so much love!

After one year, they’re back. Also, I always knew how much this song meant to all of us, but to hear that about Jonny’s mom, Carol, it’s really sad. All I can say about that is thank you for raising such a great guy.

Please do a Family Business series once this Hotel TV series is complete. It’s so awesome to hear your stories and feel more connected. Also…come back to LA, we miss you already.

Just as I was becoming overwhelmed with my own grief, this video showed up in my feed. Your music has gotten me through some tough times and is currently helping me with one of the hardest times I’ve dealt with. I don’t know how you do it… but you have a way of making sense of everything and making difficult days better. I can’t thank you enough for all you’ve given this world. Love to you all.

When I saw the Hotel TV tour in Toronto, it was on the anniversary of my step mom’s passing. Standing in the front row with Johnny right in front of me, playing the guitar solo during silver lining, I was moved to tears. Family is so special and beautiful. It felt like such a perfect moment of remembrance for his mom, for my mom (who would have loved Lawrence and I’m so sad she passed before I could share your music with her) and of course my step mom. That moment will live in my mind for many years to come. Thank you for sharing your music and your stories.

Wow just the other night I ran into Jonny at the Family Business show in Portland and told him how much Silver Lining means to me. I explained how the song came out right when a very close friend of mine passed away, far too young and unexpected, and the song really really has helped me process my grief at such a difficult time that summer. It has been incredibly cathartic and meaningful to me and I wanted to tell the band so I explained that to Jonny and didn't even realize it was dedicated to his mom. Now here I am watching this and brought to tears once again. I hope Jonny knows how much he helped me and I hope maybe a fraction of that can comfort him as well. They're watching from the silvery clouds above

My grandma died earlier this year, and I had a moment a couple months after that when I was listening to music and thinking how no song was really feeling applicable to my thoughts and feelings at the time because all of the songs that I heard with loss of a relationship as a theme were very specifically romantic relationships, and then the next song that played was Silver Lining. I felt like it was the first time I had really listened to that song, even though I've had it for years already, and knew every word. It's a really special song. I really needed it, seemingly right when it found me. I think a week after that Funeral came out as well, and it felt like the band must have had all the same things on their minds as I did.

It’s no coincidence that this came up on my feed at a time when I’m going through loss AND do I follow my calling, even if it means doing what I like, vs what I love vs a lot of people would think I’m crazy. Thanks for your inspiration. Every day I love your music and the heart behind it ❤

These are awesome, I can't wait for the rest of the series! I found Lawrence while the first episodes were coming out so this is taking me back to the excitement of first discovering and learning about these amazing people and their Family Business. Now a year later I have been in the front row at 3 shows with #4 coming up this month, and excitedly awaiting the announcement of next year's tour!

Hearing this story as I’m at my own crossroads of deciding where I want to be in my future is incredibly moving. I’m going to see Lawrence tomorrow night in Denver and I just a few weeks ago withdrew from classes for the semester to figure out what my passions truly are. If I want to go all in on my own music and start performing like crazy and see where it can take me or go back and finish my degree or put it on hold for a while to try music and focus on athletics too. There’s a lot going through my head right now but I love hearing about that idea of just taking the leap and going for it
