I saw this film on VHS in 1992 or 93 and have always loved it. It's a partial homage to Mean Streets, and it's cinema verite at its finest. I didn't notice until recently how much Adam Trese sounds like Christopher Walken here.

Excellent review. I always appreciated this film as a gritty little indie flick. It just seemed raw and realistic. I really love this type of film making:)
