Taking a dog, especially a puppy, out on the boat can be SUPER frustrating but you’ll both get the hang of it. Maybe a dozen times or so and you’ll both get the hang of it. Love the vids and keep them coming!! Sadie is definitely a bonus!

I fish with my pointers all the time too. I think they are more pumped about fishing than birds. Loki who is in most of my fishing videos shakes like a leaf the whole time, and tries to bite or kiss the fish every-time. Absolutely loves these dogs. Welcome to the fishing fam Sadie.

My GSP was my hunting and fishing buddy for quite a few years. The high energy tapered off around 6-7. Finally had to put her down at 15 due to health issues. For Sadie’s first trip, that wasn’t bad. She will get there if you keep bringing her along.

German Shorthairs are great dogs. Owed one in my life, one of my favorites. She'll be hyper till she's 3. Also they are hard dogs, so don't be afraid to be strict with her. they love discipline and structure it helps them contain their nervous energy.
