Everything she says is so correct, so true, so spot-on. From time immemorial, women have been regarded as a tool to be used, to be immortalized as a goddess, as a life-giving mother, as a beautiful creation, again as well as to be taken as a doormat, to be commented upon, lectured to, advised ........ And on and on and on.. the day this stops and a woman is regarded just as a living being living for herself ... That day our society will probably change

There is definitely a failure at all levels of society and government if it is this pervasive. The words of Ms. Abha Singh that "we are only self absorbed and self centered and we are not concerned about others. If something wrong is happening we are scared. Let us not be fearful." Such true words and insight need to be echoed by everyone so as to help make the changes that are required not only in India or Indian society but globally because these issues are relevant everyone just in different degrees of pervasiveness.

Greetings Ms. Mehta! I enjoyed your candid and informative conversation with Lawyer Abha Singh. I agreed with the sentiments of both of you. Here in the U.S., the corporate world favors the men. The burden of proof is on the victim. Generally speaking, the hospitals should have the security of "high-end" hotels; where anyone at anytime can be seen at any area of the building. I feel the medical personnel, reporters, and other individuals in careers that could possibly put their lives in jeopardy, should have personal "spy" cameras (because of their miniature size) as part of their apparel. These cameras would need to be setup to transmit off-site to a home network or other secure computer the individual or their families could access should something happen. Since both of our countries have similar problems, cases like this, should have an independent inspector, whose team means business; and can't be corrupted. My most sincere and heartfelt condolences to the late Jr. Dr's family! Peace and Blessings! Namasté! 🕉️🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🕉️❤️❤️❤️💐🕉️

If women stood by one another, things could be so much better. I've encountered situations that felt absolutely crazy, where women were left feeling helpless and victimized. Imagine a well-established neighbour brazenly standing naked in front of a divorcee living with her parents. If the divorcee dared to speak out, her envious woman neighbour would lash out at her. In another instance, an HR head blamed a female employee for reporting misconduct by her male boss. And the way these cases are resolved? A group of women leaders gathers, but it's the male HR head who leads the discussion and decides the outcome-another mockery of justice. I can completely understand how Abha Singh navigates through all these cases. She'll need many of us women to support her. Women endure torture and harassment at every level, even from their own parents, siblings, and certainly from in-laws. They're often pressured to remain silent, fearing that speaking out could cost them the very roof over their heads. The whole system of marrying daughters and making them vulnerable first in the hands of in laws then making her a helpless mother has to change. Women deserve freedom, even from the control and dictatorship of their own parents. We need to first give voices to the many mute women out there who remain victims their entire life.
