He called the judge out. The judge was wrong in so many ways! He will be investigated for judicial misconduct. He violated the Defendant's constitutional rights by meeting secretly with a witness & the prosecutor in chambers without telling the defense. Defense has a right to be present for all actions pertaining to their case. The judge was intimidating the witness to testify. Someone snitched to the defense and told them about the judge's secret meeting. The defense then made a motion to have the issue addressed and the judge demanded to know who snitched. The defense wouldn't rat the snitch out, so the judge arrested him for contempt because he is trying to coerce the attorney to snitch on the snitch.

If y’all think this is bad, watch the rest, the judge keeps violating rights and ignoring the law. The judge tried to force an attorney to represent Woody while he was on the stand even though she was only there to represent him for Contempt and even though Woody fired her before court. The judge continued to ignore Woody telling him (3 times) that she was fired and she wasn’t his lawyer that he has to represent him during his testimony. He forced the attorney to officially withdraw from being his attorney, BUT she wasn’t his attorney. She was there to represent him ONLY IF HE WAS BEING HELD IN CONTEMPT. The lawyer had to repeatedly tell the judge she wasn’t his attorney and it wasn’t until she told him the law- that since he wasn’t in contempt of court she was suppose to be released that the judge sat there stuck and finally let her go, BUT not before telling her that she still had to officially withdraw (no she didn’t need to) and telling her she had to return to court for something… Disbar the judge!

The main idea of court and the state vs “thug” is to prove beyond an unreasonable doubt. The state has not proved anything and it’s day 88? The best thing to do is what if your loved one is the one on trial is this case… if they were found guilty… would you feel justice was served?

I’m not a lawyer like most people in this chat… but question… If this is a RICO case, and it’s known that witness intimidation has been occurring, wouldn’t it be completely legal/ethical for the Judge to meet with the witness and the prosecutor without the Defense present? It’s common knowledge that the Defense is going to tell his client if someone is going to snitch, or is being offered witness protection… the witness had stated that he was going to testify, and had gotten immunity and then suddenly he refuses to testify? Thoughts?

I don’t think you understand the witness who pled the 5th. He manipulates every situation he’s in to walk away unscathed. Right or wrong, truth or lie, does not matter to him. The prosecution knew this and so did the judge, but tried to get him to testify by negotiating a deal with him. If those parties broke rules to get the testimony Williams walks as well as Copeland at the state level at least. This benefits Copeland, because now he isn’t seen as cooperative to his peers and he helps get his bank account (Williams) free through a mistrial.

Our justice system is so broken. We lock up innocent people so prosecutors can rack up a good win record. We sentence drug dealers to 15+ years, and chomos to 5 years. Our sentences for most nonviolent crimes are outrageous. Juries convict people without proof beyond a reasonable doubt all the time based on bias, and let people like Casey Anthony go free. Every senator, governor, lawyer and judge knows how fallible, unreliable, and inconsistent the system is, yet they aren't trying to fix it. Any one of us, innocent or not, could end up railroaded and locked up for something we didn't do if we get mixed up with any of the many corrupt people inside the judicial system.
