Pure class! I was once walking/running (as you do) to get a subway in Stockholm, Sweden when I heard a violin playing somewhere further down the platform. I immediately knew that this was no ordinary guy/gal playing for coin because it was super intense! I moved towards the music and there was a pretty anonymous man, in his early 40's, playing the most beautiful classical music. It made me happy that so many people actually stopped - and stayed to listen! We all know how we rush during commuting every day and usually don't stop for anything... He played for about 30 minutes before just packing his violin and then left. Not before getting the most loud and genuine standing ovation though. The day after I read in the local news that a Russian violinist on tour had done it as a spur of the moment thing, and he was apparently super famous, although I can't remember his name since this was in the late 90's. This is something I still remember very much and he made so many of us be late to work that day - and not a single regret. Both young and old stopped to listen, all classes of life. I hope the people that heard and saw you playing at LAX have the same feeling and memories like I have from my improvised subway concert all those years ago! Pure class Jordan, pure class!

Some things are a matter of taste. I don't feel he overplayed here in the least, unless you consider an outpouring of passionate energy as over playing. Some would. The composer Mahler was accused of being very bombastic and too dramatic. I just see him as an extremely passionate individual. My point is that a certain flare and intensity is really just a matter of taste.
