In the first episode, when Himmel was lowered into the ground, Frieren had a flashback to the Himmel where he said that, "Tearful goodbyes aren't our style", except it was silent. And then it cuts towards Frieren crying for Himmel. Which ties in so well with this episode, and how she smiles and is thinking "Yeah it would be embarrassing when we meet again, especially after I cried so much when I said goodbye to you."

If you missed it, in the 2nd stage of the test, Methode (the tall woman) is the one that took care of Fern's clone. I think that's enough hint why she'd pass in the 3rd stage.

It was sad that when Frieren initially ended there was no confirmation of a season 2 but actually a few weeks ago they confirmed season 2 is officially in production! That doesn’t tell us when it’ll come out but glad to see this series got the love it did from everyone involved.

Fern proved she was truly a student of Frieren with that spell choice :) Also it is convinient and a smart spell to save time usefull for the rest of her life, and Frieren that lives so much longer will use it her entire life, so now she will always have something from Fern with her. Just as I was writing this, realised the connection for deer with Ferns name. (a young deer is celled a Fern) [at least I think so] [Have been corrected]

i believe the word you mean for young deer is "fawn" though fern and fawn could sound very similar depending on the speaker's accent so i can see the confusion

Lernen was likely going to kill Frieren. Serie’s intuition is never wrong. This is displayed in the short fight as Lernen clearly knows an advanced form of Zoltraak. We know this because it’s piercing even Frieren’s defensive magic meaning Frieren’s defensive capabilities aren’t on par with Lernen’s offensive ones. Serie also mentioned despite her age Frieren doesn’t actually have the refinement in spell skill as humans significantly younger than her because she spent her time focused on mana control and finding oddball magic spells. Where Lernen has spent his life mastering the power of magic and Frieren’s suppression doesn’t work on Lernen because he can see through it so the thing Frieren spent her life mastering he can already defeat. Lernen is also the creator of the Golems in the second test that are powerful enough to block any magic spell and heal any magic wound. Lernen is “that guy”. He absolutely would not have been bodied by Frieren, if anything it would have likely been Frieren getting bodied. And she likely knew that the moment his spells pierced her defenses.

Also Frieren mentions that she's lost to human mages with less mana than her. So Lernen would have won, he probably would have had to work for it
