Lay It Down || Leif Hetland

I remember one New Year’s early on in my relationship with Papa Jack, he taught me the lesson of the rod of God. Papa Jack said, “Son, I want to teach you about the rod. In this season, you will learn how to pick it up and lay it down.” This lesson has transformed and saved my life and family in more ways than I can express.
I was sharing this message of the rod in Colorado a few years back and was activating the congregation to identify whatever situation they are facing and prophetically lay it down to the Lord. This lady in the meeting had a prodigal son whom she had not seen in 6 years and had been crying out to the Lord for his return and salvation. I will never forget this. The moment she laid her son down to the Lord, that young man rushed in through the back doors of that meeting, surrendered his life to Jesus, and reconciled with his mother. It was a powerful moment of surrender.
Most of you know by now that Papa Jack went home to be with Jesus in 2021. I had just returned home from the Middle East when I got the call that he only had a few moments left. I jumped back on another plane and flew to be by his side in his final moments. And just before he left, the final words he whispered on earth echoed that lesson he had taught me so many years before, “Son, lay it down.”
My papa taught me this lesson, and I want to teach it to you. We can only be entrusted with the things we are free from. Whether that may be a family member like in the Colorado story or a business, this is a season to learn to lay down our rods in surrender and to pick them up in His strength.

I got my first taste of you Leif at Voice of Apostles 2023. I pinch myself that God has granted me access to your teachings. Last night I tossed in my sleep. There seems to be a connection with the fact that I am an American with Norwegian roots. When my family came here it appears that they had to let go of where they came from. I wanted to go to Norway, but I realized I had no clue of where to start. Being a believer in God’s desire for the restoration of all things, I feel such a pull to learn more. I yearn to know the faith background of my ancestors but I have no trail. I feel just sharing that here and asking the Lord to guide me further into more revelation of who I am and my Kingdom purpose is enough for God to move. Your walk with God is so jaw dropping and you and I share Norway in common. There is something here but only time will tell. Thank You Lord for Leif! Pray for my seed of liquid love you imparted to grow exponentially in supernatural accelerated speed so I too can become an ambassador of love like you! ♥️

HALLELUYAH…It was The Spirit Of The Most High, The Pure Spirit that spoke to Her and said REPENT! It is so disrespectful and heartless for people who are suppose to be filled with the spirit, saved, speaking in tongues to be calling other people out their names and know so much about the devil and demonic ways.
