LAY-Z-SPA How to empty Water & How to clean LAY-Z-SPA & How to fill LAY-Z-SPA with Water.
This is on the LAY-Z-SPA Bahamas model but is the same concept for other Bestway LAY-Z-SPA models.
In this video I will show you how to drain the water from your LAY-Z-SPA, then how to clean your LAY-Z-SPA ready to fill the LAY-Z-SPA with water.
No matter how much you take care of the water after a lot of use the water will go cloudy and it's not very inviting so I'll show you how to empty a LAY-Z-SPA of water.
Emptying the LAY-Z-SPA water takes about 45minutes.
Maintaining your LAY-Z-SPA is very important to make sure it lasts.

Another great video, thank you! I’m draining mine for the first time today, I used a lay z spa vac first to get rid of any debris, I highly recommend the vac as it’s effective and inexpensive to buy and you can get right under the air jet skirt with it too! I tried the washing machine trick with the filters last week and they came out lovely, I just put them on an extra rinse cycle to make sure all the detergent had gone. As always thanks again! You’re a true oracle of all things lay z spa!

Thanks for the tips on cleaning the pool etc.: I have something else important to add - the adapter for draining water can also be used in the other direction - for filling. Connect the hose and open the water access, don't forget to close the drain connection in the pool. I've tried it - it takes a little longer to fill, but you don't have to go to the trouble of laying a garden hose in the pool.

Nice video thanks. Few things I do differently. Night before I clean it I shock the water with chlorine granules. This gives all the pipe work a good sanitisation. Next day I'll scrubs with a brush everywhere with old water. Makes less work later on. Drain it as per your video. Quick wipedown of the sides with microfiber cloth (traps the dirt) same with bottom. Refill. Then re shock. Leave 12 hrs test and enjoy.

Thanks for the amazing video. I have the same spa but when i try to empty it with pipe hose (my drain is far on rooftop apartment) the water is not flowing. I've checked without hose the water is normally flowing out. Any insight? :)

Yeh if the hose is quite long it may struggle to flow, it may need some encouragement to start flowing

It varies on lots of different things, I’ve got a video on running costs it’s worth checking out. I should imagine running costs in Oz are less than England as it’s a lot warmer air temp

How often do you find you need to change the water? Mine went that murky inside a week of owning our new tub 😮 We did have my sons friends jumping in and out during a birthday party, but still think that is rather quick. Cheers

Lots of different people who haven’t showered will make the water dirty very quick especially these small tubs. Try upping the chlorine and put a new filter in asap. Usually ours is changed about 8-12 weeks depending on use. Hey Lurgs, I’ve done a couple ‘shocks’. I was advised to mix the shock granules (just a small amount maybe teaspoon or tablespoon) in a bucket with water and pour liquid in, making sure granules at bottom of bucket if any, do NOT get poured in as they could burn. I did this when I 1st filled with water and again a few weeks later as water was looking a bit cloudy. Worked well. Thanks for all ur tips,have been super helpful 🙌🏽

Man use Aqualoon filter balls in your spa, your water is disgusting. Those paper rubbish filters do not absorb like filter balls do. Also gonna save you money because they are reusable after cleaning or washing. 12 filter balls in that type of filter is perfect, replace em every 2 weeks. Thank me later

@@LurgsHowToGuides yes, exactly 12 filter balls will fit because i have the same filter. I've been using Aqualoon filter balls for many years now and they are simply amazing. Used it for swimming pools and spa's. This stuff absorbs the nasties stuff, sunscreen, algae, make up, hairs, sand etc... I replace em once every 2 weeks, let the nasty ones dry out and at the end of the season i wash everything in the washing machine. Where i live it comes in a 700 gram pack and i estimate It's above 200 pieces of balls. I just replaced my 6 year old pack of aqualoon a week ago so 25 euro for 6 years of filtration is actually pretty cheap! Keep me updated on your experience with it and happy spa days.
