can you explain! i caught some things, but i bet not half
@Syllaren4 жыл бұрын
@@itsmondays7235 I.E. reaching for the scope, it gave a hint but it was em drugged out reaching for the mouthwash, and the shooter, also drugged out, reaching for the gun scope. em before a concert loading himself up on alcohol(shots), and the shooter prepping for the concert by loading his guns, magazines all over the floor(knocking over magazine stands or w.e. while he was wrecking his waiting room, or just reading them idk which), while also being the gunner dropping clips/magazines all over the floor. it's seriously every line. just go through the song, and any time you don't find a double meaning, look at the line a little longer, and there will be one. it's incredible tbh.

All Eminem’s song are insane. Never go into listening to a song by him thinking you’ll be able to digest it all in one listen because you won’t. His lyrics are so complex that you should expect to have to listen to it at least 2 or 3 times to really get it. Reading the lyrics as he raps helps a lot

All of those places where the shootings happened were "gun free zones" yet the shooting still happened. (Which means the person who intends on breaking the law-- murdering people -- still does) But the people who want to obey the law (Not murder people, and NOT bring a gun to a gun free zone can't shoot back when there inevitably is a shooter.) Look at this most recent shooting in the Tx church. How many people would the shooter have killed if there wasn't the law abiding gun owner to stop him? 30? 40? 50?... People intent on MURDERING mass amounts of innocent people DO NOT care about the latest gun restrictions. Do you know why? Reason 1) They clearly don't care about the law. Reason 2) Such laws don't make those newly-banned guns disappear. Is meth illegal? Yeah, how's that working out? Last I checked murder was illegal too. Eminem is clearly incapable of rational thought. I like Em, but he really needs to do his research and use his brain. If the liberals get what they want with gun laws, the problem WILL get worse and the death counts for shootings WILL rise... Because there is no one to defend themselves. The Police you say? Would you really rely on a government agency whose entire purpose is to respond to calls while the act is happening or even after the fact? really? The average police response time is 8.33 MINUTES let that number sink in. We're talking about active shooters here. This is all--common--sense.

This song hits you like a punch in the gut. It sounds like some typical "Eminem spitting crazy double entendre bars" and then it turns from just spitting into a story that we all know is real. It's a reminder that this shit doesn't just disappear because the media isn't covering it anymore. You can tell news like this eats at Eminem if he's willing to launch his entire album with a song about it. He's calling us all to action with this. We need to sit up and listen. He's talking about that darkness and he pulled all of us in and showed us how easy it is to pass off that sort of darkness as something else until it's too late. As always, if you see something, say something. It could save lives.

@scifywriter97684 жыл бұрын
Yah, his take on this song's gun control message disregards the song entirely. Spouting off about mental illness being a big issue when having unlimited access to the kinds of weapons that guy had is the issue being talked about was one if the worst takes I've heard about this song.

Yes.. the people are the issue.. but so are the guns... I personally hat guns.. but I also believe you have the right to protect yourself. Em has been in a state where alcohol and drugs were things he turned to but fortunately he has music and managed to find a way out of that darkness. Yeah, people taking actions with these guns are what cause the incidents because weapons require a wielder. And better care for the mentally ill is another discussion but ...'regular' citizens can turn into these tragic shooters and that's the terrifying bit.

Jaime actually most of these shootings, the people where diagnosed with mental illnesses. Some of them actually got the cops involved way before the shooting but nothing was ever done about it. So no mental illness is still the main issue. banning guns ain’t going to make crime stop.
@Angels5104 жыл бұрын
thee gamer Not saying to ban guns but limit guns. I believe everyone has the right to self defence but an AR-15 with a 30 round clip is above and beyond. Teachers watch their students 8 hours a day but school shootings still happen. Do a quick google of the % of people who go into the psychological field. That percentage is who you’re asking to watch over the rest of the 300,000,000 people with the potential to own tools designed for mass murder. That sound realistic to you?
@theegamer84014 жыл бұрын
Jaime But why not go the rout of protect our self instead of stripping everything away. Why not try that first?why is the only thing you guys can think of is destroying our rights and protection. Instead we are giving the bad guys exactly what they want. They get to keep there’s and we lose ours. I just think my way is safer and makes more sense. It’s as simple as (if you where a mass shooter would you rather walk into a school with an armed guard or a school with a bunch of helpless children in a corner.) like logically my side makes sense. Your side is more of a what if.
@Angels5104 жыл бұрын
thee gamer You realise your side is quite literally a “what if a good guy had a gun” scenario right? I don’t ever believe in banning guns. I also don’t believe anything more than a pistol and a shotgun is necessary for self defence. But man to man if you were a bad guy with the element of surprise are you telling me you couldn’t pull the trigger five times into a crowd before a “good guy” puts you down? Unless you want every man in America with a hand on their grips 24/7 and be on military style alert just in case someone reaches for their hip?

I know what you mean by "it's the person behind the gun" but if you remove the gun, then there is no problem. @besharpyy32464 жыл бұрын
I get your point and obviously if you break down the statistics, like I said before it's not really feasible to compare the amount of deaths from stabbings in the UK to deaths from shootings in the US, due to the massive difference of population etc. This being said there were approximately 435 mass shootings in the US in 2019 where 517 people died, and 1648 people injured (Wikipedia, 2019). Compared to the 93 people who died from stab wounds in the UK (BBC, 2019). I would fancy my chance of survival a lot more against a knife than a gun.
@acevfx29234 жыл бұрын
@@besharpyy3246 part of the problem is that a majority (not all) of the shootings that happen in america are committed with illegally obtained, unregistered guns. People want to hold on to their guns and rightfully so, to put it simple, because they have been around for so long everyone already has them, and it's not going to be the people with ill intend that will abide the law and turn them in. There are a respectable amount of cases (mostly home/store defense) where licensed gun owners saved lives. Unfortunately this was never the case for any of the larger school and public schootings, I'd say due to the fact that most of these were committed in no gun zones. Fact of the matter is, it's not simple, this is an ultimate dilemma and there is no right or wrong choice to be made. Whatever happens will come by force. If the government (which a lot of Americans don't trust) decides to come and get the people their guns, people will resist. Definitely in the south where militias are still a thing.

Half right - the problem is people WITH guns. You can't separate them. You may be a responsible gun owner, but you have to take into consideration the range of mental illness. Of course we need to take care of people, but we also need to take the guns out of their hands. A mass shooting every day in the US. So, if you keep guns in circulation, how do you suggest we deal with the people problem, with something as complex as millions of individuals with different life experiences and mental makeup? You gotta look for the solution that will have the biggest impact and save lives as quick as possible, and we can deal with the mental health issues in tandem.

I’m pro gun as well and while I understand the idea of wanting more gun control, people are unpredictable and like em says no signs of mental illness. Sometimes no matter what is done you will still never see it coming. That’s one reason gun owners get worried about giving the government the go ahead for more gun control because these situations will always happen and where will the line get drawn on controlling guns before they just try and take them for good. 2nd amendment was made a right for the reason If we ever had to fight against a government and even though that sounds not likely in our age today I still could never fully trust our government. However I do hope for peace and that we can eventually stop the senseless violence for sure.
@kyleford39204 жыл бұрын
Mass shootings have a higher percentage of happening in an area with more strict gun laws. There's no true way to fully allow the gun regulations people want without infringement of 2A. It's a very weird grey area. Instead of increasing regulation, what about ensuring classes in school so people can be properly educated at a young age to respect guns (and I don't mean actual guns when they are being taught at an early age, but BB or Airsoft) It's definitely a people problem, but if we reenforce respecting gun safety and when to properly use one at a young age we can curve our people problem over a period of time.

It's obviously easier to see if you watch the video. Point is, his writing style on this track is on another planet. We've heard him do something similar on "25 To Life", where he appears to be talking about an ex; possibly Kim, but it's not until the last bar that he reveals he's actually speaking on the rap game. "Darkness" takes that same style and dials it up to 11. The guy's pretty good with a pen.
