the entire album is mid imo it's Cole at his least ambitious, the production is bland despite Cole finally bringing in outside production, lyrically and conceptually is kinda all over the place and a bit surface level, rapping was great with some highlight bars throughout but not enough to carry the album

J Cole is a dying breed. Appreciate him! You can tell he’s influenced by Big, Pac, Nas and Jay. As time goes on it’s going to be extremely rare to find rappers influenced by the greats. J Cole is inspired and cut from the same cloth. This album has certified him as Hip Hop Royalty
