It’s a rinseless wash, it doesn’t leave behind a residue you just need to go over the panel again with another microfibre. Similarly, with the idea that it’s grabby - if it was used as a rinseless wash, applied to the panel with a fully damp cloth or mitt, it would demonstrate excellent lubricity. It is excellent as a deep cleaning decon wash product on ceramic coats. It doesn’t harm these, it’s designed to help unclog them.

Use distilled water if you get residue and use a clean towel.

Let me get this straight: this product leaves a soapy residue, creates a grabby surface, and can strip waxes and sealants off your paint. All the things that rinseless washes are designed not to do. So then why not just use using a bottle of water with a drop of dishwashing liquid?

mkygod - Firstly thanks for watching, and ‘yes’ to all of your comments! The best use for this particular rinseless wash is for ceramic coats (not for waxes and/or sealants), where you want to strip everything off the surface to have the ceramic coat do it’s thing (which is why you would have gone to the cost/effort of getting a ceramic coat in the first place?). If you’ve not already done so please check out the rest of the channel & subscribe! Thanks 👍🏽🙏🏽🚘

I've not found it to leave any residue even on warm panels in direct sun. Helps to do the 2nd wipe off with a plush cloth.

Also, try using their twisted logic towels. I bet that will solve your residue issue right off

Why not simply use plain water to remove the residue? I.e - spray & wipe with water. (ideally demineralised). That's how i do it. (I use ONR - haven't tried Feynlab yet). ONR doesn't leave much, but it does leave enough for me to want to "rinse". It's largely due to the fact i have a black car. (although the glass also benefits from rinsing) ONR can be buffed away without water, but I feel that it's easier and gentler when using water.

I just bought this via Amazon in the US for $23. When you mentioned that it will strip, I was concerned a.bit. Would it be safe to use on my car, which is ceramic coated? If I use ECH20 and follow that up with Reload, and then use Feynlab every one or two weeks, do you believe that would be a good plan? I live on Miami Beach where we have lots and lots of wind blowing salt onto the car from the Atlantic Ocean and Biscayne Bay. It concerns me. I greatly appreciate your advice!

Dean Bush - Feynlab will strip most waxes and sealants but it will NOT strip ceramic coats. Yes it’s perfectly safe to use. As mentioned in an earlier response it will most likely kill some of the hydrophobic properties though. After using Feynlab we would recommend topping up the coating with a suitable detailing spray. ReLoad is a ceramic sealant and not a detailing spray. Our advice is - every three months do a full strip/decontamination wash (no clay bar though as that will damage your ceramic coat unless you plan to machine polish). Add ReLoad if that’s your top coat of choice. After using Feynlab to wash during your maintenance wash cycle (however often that is) top up ReLoad by using Ech2o as a detailing spray mixing it 16:1. Alternatively top up ReLoad by using the Ech2o + ReLoad mixture we advised of in a previous answer. Hope this helps 👍🏽👊🏽

If this product is used as a 'pure' waterless wash, but leaves it's own residue.. Surely that makes it a hugely flawed product?
@VProjectUKDetailing
@VProjectUKDetailing 3 жыл бұрын
AmjadJDM - In our opinion, and we would be honest, labelling this product as flawed would be quite harsh. It’s primary job is to clean, which it does extremely well. It’s just that due to the fact it is so ‘pure’ in that it doesn’t contain many additives (if any at all), being a type of soap it can leave some residue behind when used as a waterless wash. When used in a rinseless method residue is minimised but is still present so we would still go over the panel with an IPA at least. We didn’t demonstrate the rinseless method in this video as the results are similar, and would have made the video un-necessarily long. The fact that this product leaves no protection behind is what makes it non-flawed! The extra step to remove residue is worth it. Hope that makes sense. Thanks for watching - make sure you check out the rest of the channel, and check us out on Instagram! If you’ve not already subscribed on KZbin please make sure you do! Thanks 👍🏽🙏🏽

You say it doesn't contain any lubrication. That's your opinion, however, the product description does state that it lubricates.

So this will change the beading and sheeting affect of a ceramic coating ? I seen in another video and they said it’s PH neutral
@VProjectUKDetailing
@VProjectUKDetailing 2 жыл бұрын
Imran Ali - During our “Ceramic Coat” video we discuss that in a ceramic coating various chemical components play various roles. This will affect the chemicals that provide beading/sheeting as it’s such a pure soap which strips! So the answer is yes it will - however it won’t affect the protection provided by a ceramic coat as that is usually only removed by mechanical means such as polishing! pH levels are often misunderstood - just because something is pH neutral doesn’t mean it won’t strip! Thanks again 👍🏽🙏🏽🚘

@@VProjectUKDetailing ok thanks but on there website it does say it will maintain optimal sheeting and self cleaning properties of coatings and sealants , in the video they said it’s a PH 7 so I presumed that wouldn’t change any water behaviour . I did see Yvan mention that a good rinseless wash will have no suds at all and it’s not meant to have soaps as you need to rinse them and they leave residue behind , he didn’t actually say buy optimum products but said a good one won’t have suds of soaps. I think I might buy the mckees one and try that , I presumed you haven’t tried that

Imran Ali - We’ve been detailing for well over 23 years and over the course of those years tried most popular products/brands. Our motto is to provide advice for the “best products, for the best results, with minimal effort”. As opposed to other detailing channels out there we don’t showcase everything - just what we use and believe are the best products for the desired results. Yes Feynlab state that the product will return the coating to its original form - however what they are referring to is that it will remove everything on top of the coating that could be preventing its performance e.g. oils, stubborn dirt, polishes etc that normal snowfoams/shampoos won’t necessarily shift. However that’s not to say that it won’t affect a ceramic coat itself - which in our experience it does! In our ceramic coat video we say that you should class a ceramic coat as protection only as the water beading/sheeting properties are usually fairly easy to kill. It’s the regular maintenance using a good top coat sealant/ceramic detail spray that will give the beading/sheeting 👍🏽🙏🏽🚘🚗

@@VProjectUKDetailing from what Yvan said a good rinseless wash don’t have soaps or suds , it does make sense as you said it leaves residue behind and you need to clean it with a ipa which you shouldn’t have to do , if there soaps in it then I don’t understand how it can be a rinse less product , as far as I know your meant to rinse off any soaps so you don’t get a residue and you said you are getting that residue . Regarding beading or water behaviour , before the winter I put autoglym ceramic spray and it’s not a proper ceramic coating , even after the harsh U.K weather and even after me using high alkaline snow foams and other high alkaline cleaners , I’ve been trying to kill the beading and get rid of the protection but it’s still there , I want to polish and ceramic coat the car so need to get rid of the protection , I’m finding it very hard to get rid of the water behaviour and im not topping it up with any quick detailers or anything like that , what I have bought is garage therapy decon shampoo and I will use that before I polish and that should get rid of it , I’ll check out that other video you mention

Very nice in a 16oz bottle how much do I use ? At your dilution ratio ?
@VProjectUKDetailing
@VProjectUKDetailing 3 жыл бұрын
Amir Abdullah - Thanks 🤗. 16oz = 473 ml therefore for our ratio you ideally want to use appx 1.25 ml of Feynlab if it’s possible for you to measure that accurately! Use a syringe with a measurement scale as we do. Thanks 👍🏽🙏🏽
