The Meissner's plexus is in the submucosa, which branches from the myenteric plexus (in the muscularis externa)

Visceral sensory information travels from most parts of the digestive tract along the vagus nerve to the medulla oblongata. From the pharynx, it would be along the glossopharyngeal nerve. Visceral motor information travels from the medulla oblongata along the vagus nerve to most parts of the digestive tract. From the some parts of the pharynx, it would be along the glossopharyngeal nerve. Branching from the aorta, the gastric artery leads to the stomach. The superior and inferior mesenteric arteries lead to different sections of the intestines. Almost all conective tissues are derived from mesoderm, and since extraembryonic mesoderm makes things outside the embryo, it must be intraembryonic mesoderm
