Much respect for the guys who do the labor for these courts. I just wish that sand was green in color, so that it would keep the court green, but all in all great job! Thank you for the video, truly enjoyed it! Cheers!

Why is sand needed? The end result looks terrible. The green color is great but gets ruined in the process.

Hi Daniel, with out the sand, the court would play very slow and lots of bad bounces resulting in a very unenjoyable game of tennis. The sand gives the court a hard surface to give the ball a good and normal bounce, an artificial grass court plays very much like a real grass court with out the odd bad bounce.

They have to put sand on it.

It's for drainage and to keep the carpet in place. There's almost no point of going for this surface as the sand will affect playability

Can you please tell where you brought these synthetic grass material and how much it costed.

The synthetic grass surface is made in New Zealand and the only information I have is that it is "T1000 Olive synthetic surface with 75mm baselines". I don't know what the surface it self cost, but for the completed installation including the synthetic grass was $46,500.00 Australian dollars (November 2020). Custom Court Constructions purchase the synthetic grass from New Zealand and did the installation, for more information their email is [e-mail]

Once the sand settles the court will look green.

A lot of court owners use roof and gutter silicone to repair their court, it's waterproof and holes really well, hopes this helps.

Blackbutt is a small country town in Queensland Australia, The Tennis Club is "Blackbutt Tennis Club" a non-profit organization.

If you had some rain there is a good chance you can go out and play because there is a lot of sand on the court and the water will Soake into the sand.

It plays like real grass with a more consistent bounce, the more sand the faster it plays, less sand the play will be slower.
