@@stephencameron4032 Thank you Stephen. Lovely to hear from you. Glad you are liking the progress thus far. It is indeed coming together very quickly and better than I had expected. For a 300mm wide layout it has turned out to be quite fun to run Trains on. Thanks for watching and commenting. Always appreciated 👍

Hi Mon, I like what you are doing with this shelf layout. It is giving me ideas for mine. I would go with the bridge option.

Wow, Mon... I know you have put hours and hours of work into this, but through video it just seems to grow wonderfully overnight, so to speak. It looks great and the lighting definitely is improved with the split. As far as the bridge. I do not like to give advice, but what comes to me is a waterfall into a lake, whether it is a dam or natural, with the bridge as it now appears. That's what I see when I look at the area, but it's your vision that matters.

Thanks Anthony. What I'm trying to show here is that if you have some unused space you can have a funtional layout in a short period of time. The Spillway crest was a last minute idea to use up left over timber, but seems to work so far.. The Otlet channel will eventally go under the viaduct. Will be collecting ideas on which option is preferred. Thanks for watching and commenting. Always appreciated. 👍

Hi Mon. Brilliant work there buddy. Thinking of doing a shelf on my layout, yours looks superb. If it was my layout I'd go with the bridge. Be great to see how you populate it. Thanks for sharing Mon. Thumbs up thumped 👍 ....Pete and Su....

@@delphjunction1168 Thank you Pete. I'm trying to show that with a bit of free space you can make something out of nothing relatively quickly and easily. Thanks for your input. It is all coming together. Thanks for watching and commenting. Always apprecuated. Hi to Su. Have a great week. 👍

That's really coming along, Dylan wants to know where the Dylington Custard storage/distribution area is 😁...cheers James and Dylan 🙂👍

@DYLINGTONMODELRAILWAY Thanks James and Dylan. With such a small layout there is not much room for anything other than the track and Viaduct. I'd suggest that the custard factory is downstream of the Dam 🤔 Thanks for watching and commenting. Always appreciated 👍

@monsvillerailways5736 That should be an excepteble explanation 😁👍

@DYLINGTONMODELRAILWAY I'd imagine that the custard factory would require a reliable water source. Downstream of the Dam is an excellent location. 🤔👍😅 Happy Trains

I like the look of the bridge even if it is blocking some of the visual from the spillway. I should hire you for my layout. Might get something done! LOL
@monsvillerailways57366 күн бұрын
Thanks Steve. And thanks for your input. The downside of the bridge is indeed blocking view of the spillway. The layout is only 300mm wide (1 foot) so there is no space to perceive depth. Haha... that's a long trip to help your layout 🤔😅 Hi to Roxy. Thanks for watching and commenting. Always appreciated. 👍

Hi Mon, it is looking great. I think you should go with the dam idea as to me that short steel girder bridge detracts from the brick arched bridge.
@monsvillerailways57366 күн бұрын
@@trainsontuesday Thanks David. That's a good point. The Viaduct is the main feature of the layout after all. It is all coming together quickly as you say. Thanks for watching and commenting. Always appreciated 👍

Nice job, I`d maybe scale down to a foot bridge or leave it open ,the old girder seem over sized for the scene
@monsvillerailways57365 күн бұрын
@@newlynnrailway Hi Clive. Yes. The Rail bridge is just an example, but the final will be for foot traffic only as you suggest. Depends what bridge frames I can get for it. Appart from the wood and screws. Everything on the layout is repurposed second hand. It will probably still be over designed. Thanks for watching and commenting. Always appreciated. 👍
