Thus is so very cool. I showed your layout to the wife, & helped my negotiating for space. Thanks bro. Love the layout. Unreal!

Awesome! Lol glad I could help. I'm at the point that 1) the basement was preped 2) benchwork built 3) mainline track laid. I've been thinking of doing a "thoughts on building a basement size empire, 3 years in" video soon, just as a reflection point.

I like the idea of a train that reminds you of your youth even if it is outside the period of your layout. Great Update!

Thanks! Lolol. I'm sure I went a little overkill, but like I said, I wanted to do that exercise once! It's all the sound equipped lashups that did me in.

Holily boosters BATMAN! Our club doesn't even have that many! Interesting how you have all your boosters in a central location, but your circuit breaks are not.

I keep things that plug in one spot. The entire layout is on a timer, keeps me from accidentally leaving it on. Breakers are local to the spot they serve.

It's 6 of the walthers kits around a 110' turntable. 18 stalls. I have 54 leds inside, you can see a little more about it here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mIClk4yieK5nqJIsi=tRQ47yxKhkN5bEoi

This is the woodland scenics stuff. I didn't "intentionally" go this way, but as I was building is when cork got very hard to come by. It has some upsides, like very easy to trim with a hobby knife. I found cork is better under turnouts - the foam has some squish that caused some issues on turnouts. I found caulk didn't work well with it but liquid nails projects does. Overall, not a bad way to go. I think I'd rather have cork... but, if you can't get it, you can't get it.
