Hello Hoppers, today I will show you Munich Airport in Germany for the first time. I have a flight from Frankfurt Airport (FRA) to Miami (MIA) but have a layover in Munich (MUC). Lufthansa flights arrive at Terminal 2 but our Miami flight was leaving from the Terminal 2 Satellite building so I’ll show you how to get there. It was a beautiful flight as Munich was covered with snow.
I also got to film Business Class for the first time but this I’ll show in the next video.

I was most nervous about that somewhat shorter layover, but you just showed that I will be fine! Sure!! If I could do this, anybody can do it. It helps to see things before you actually have to do them yourself. Hence, I show as much as I can or what I am allowed to show. I've had footage erased from my camera at airports by staff. I'm very careful about not filming faces, children, prohibited parts of the airport. I just move the camera away or shut it off!

Can I just say what a wonderful video, really nicely explained to people that might not have a huge amount of experience travelling, without talking down to anyone. I will be flying to Munich in a few weeks so wanted to see what to expect. To show how long its been since my last trip there it was to the old airport!!!! The one tip I would add and I agree about going to the gate!! Don't assume that security checks will be logical! I fly often with a transfer in Istanbul and there are at least two security checks for transfer passengers there that can be more than a little time consuming.

If there are no delays and both flights are with the same airline, therefore same terminal, it is possible you will make it but RUN!!! It really is cutting it close.

Recently I've also been looking at Skyscanner, very interesting.

The ESTA is needed if you fly into the US from Germany. To fly into the USA passengers from some countries are required to have a VISA and passengers from other countries are in the Visa Waiver Program and require an ESTA. This video can help you. Hello. first of all thank you for the video. I want to ask a question. we will go from turkey to toronto by munich airport transfer. The plane will land at Munich Terminal 1, and we will transfer to Toronto from the second terminal. Will we be able to pass directly to the 2nd terminal without passport control? Glad you liked the video. Firstly, at the moment Turkey is not a Schengen country so if you are a Turkish citizen you will need a visa and will go through passport control when you arrive to Munich. In my video I noticed at minute 4:34 the walking time from Terminal 2 to Terminal 1 is about 15-20 minutes. I assume it is the same going from Terminals 1 to 2. I hope this helps.

Run!!! It always depends on if you have to change terminals, pick up a checked suitcase, your passport, etc

I don't usually worry about the airlines, they are not that different. Just find out what Terminal your airline leaves from. That is very important, so you know what terminal to go to when you go to the airport. Also know the baggage requirements for the airline. If you are going alone, go with plenty of time, so you won't stress if you don't know your way around. I sometimes go 4-5 hours before my flight so I get to walk around the airport, go into stores, snack, etc. I rather wait at the airport than have to rush. Always ASK airport personnel if you have any doubts. Let me know how it goes!! Have a great flight!
