i had a friend back in middle school who was practically tossed to the side by her mom, cuz she was pregnant with twins. she tried to break her own arm so she could get attention from her mom. she hates her mom with burning passion nowdays. i don't know why some parents abandon their older child bc they have a younger one. of course, they don't need that much attention, but they still need basic affection. if you're a parent, please don't be like this.

She dismissed it for the most part, the other part she told my dad and he disowned me. But skip forwardand a years later (while I'm well into adulthood) my brother being in his twenties at the time came out and said weird things happened to him too with our dad and my mom BLEW UP about it. She called me hysterically and asked if I would stand trial in my brothers defense. Women like this have unnatural, mentally ill attachments to their sons because not only is it their child and a mothers love knows no bounds, but they are extremely toxic, insecure, women who act far worse with their romantic partners (which is why most of them end up either alone or in a sexless loveless marriage) and they end up interacting with their son the way they would a husband. All their insecurities feel "healed" when he is a little boy but when it comes time to let him grow up and become independent, she can't let him because she is sick in the head. It's a form of abuse when it turns into what's called enmeshment/emotional incest. She uses her son to try to meet the needs a husband should.

I have 2 daughters who I love in different ways since they are individuals but I love them both the same amount. I someday would love to have a son if I'm someday blessed with one (it's unlikely since I'm single and 39 years old) but he will not replace my daughter's and if I did manage to have another daughter I would feel a little regret over never having a son but never over the baby being a girl. Who knows though, my oldest who is 12 might possibly not be cis (she hasn't come out but has shown a few signs of not fully being just a girl though she knows I love her no matter who she is on the inside and has recently come out to me as being a lesbian) so I might possibly still get a son that way lol. Either way I love my kids for who they are, not their gender, looks or anything else that is superficial. I’m honestly really glad that almost every single person in the world nowadays post their personal life on social media because it makes it so much easier to find perverts and abusers. They are literally telling on themselves to the entire world. As awful as it sounds that I would be OK with abusers having social media and posting about abuse I am much more glad that there is evidence and that so many people are able to see itSo they know the symptoms they know the signs and they know what it looks like.

I’ve been in a marriage with a man who have a mother like that. She actually did ruin our marriage. Which is fine because now I’m married to someone else and I gave birth a couple months ago. Tho I’m happy I divorced him and marry my husband it’s absolutely a horrible thing to do something like that. She didn’t even allow us to have a child. She makes him breaking his duties and promises so they could cuddle. Honestly, I don’t know how this mothers see it as a flex because it’s definitely not. Congrats on reaching 100K Layze. As of right now, you’re at 129K which is amazing. I always love your videos, Layze. You talk about the most interesting topics. I’m actually the result of a child from a mother who showed extreme favoritism towards my sister and it caused me to fall into a deep depression at the very young age of 11. To this day, I suffer with issues because of it still. As the saying goes though; “every child deserves a parent, but not every parent deserves a child”. It really is true and these moms do need help or their kids will grow up with issues and resentment for trying to compete with their siblings and having a mom who weirdly acts like their romantic partner. It’s very traumatic for a child to go through.

My mother treated me this same way. She always favorited my younger brother and then when I was in middle school and high school she had my 3 youngest siblings. From then on she just called me her built in babysitter. And when I was 16 I got to do “make a wish” because of my health. She made me switch my make a wish from Hawaii so I could swim with dolphins and go to the beach, to Disney in Florida so my siblings could go to Disney. Found out while we were there at sea world I could swim with dolphins but she told me no because my brother she always favorited couldn’t do it since I only had so much spending money make a wish gave me. She could’ve easily taken me by myself. And on top of that he got to spend most of my spending money make a wish gave me. There are so many more things that happened and continue to happen. But I’ve finally stopped trying to make her happy and just stopped talking to her. I realized nothing I do with ever be good enough. It makes me feel so bad for those girls in those videos. That woman thinks it’s funny she’s rubbing it in her daughters faces when it’s really just cruel. Layze is right, if you favorite any of your kids they’ll eventually stop putting up with your bs and not talk to you anymore.

My son was an only child until he was ten years old. My husband and I had basically come to terms with the fact that we weren't able to have more since I suffered from endometriosis and had a difficult time getting pregnant (and staying pregnant) after our son was born. So of course, he was a little spoiled (not that he acted like he was, we just pretty much made sure he always got what he wanted but he was always appreciative and took great care of his things). When he was ten, I found out I was pregnant with his sister and he was overjoyed. From the time he found out she was in my tummy, he was doting on her. He watched over me while I was pregnant, always asked me if I needed anything and if I was drinking enough water (something he overheard me saying the doctor told me). Then when she was born, he was instantly smitten. And now, ten years later he still is. I was and am completely in love with his love for her. When I was pregnant with my daughter, I kept thinking "how can I possibly love another person as much as I love my son? He's the most perfect kid!" But of course that all changed as soon as she was born. I love both of my kids tremendously, but it's a little different with each of them. I loved being a boy mom, he was the first boy in my family in generations on my mom's side so it was a really big deal. My mom had four girls, she was an only child and so was her mother! But I also really enjoy being a girl mom! She's like my little bestie! But I definitely can't imagine favoring one over the other, that's just so strange to me because my mom never had a favorite either, although we joke that our youngest sister must be because she was by far the "best" of us, she has always been the sweetest thing and is now an EMT firefighter so, that one's a no brainer! 😂

As someone with a parent who preferred (and stated it very clearly) one gender, I feel so much anger for this so called boy moms who seem to belong in a cult. The kids (boys or girls) will grow up and learn that their parent only cared about their gender and blindly had a favourite kid even before birth. Basically your parent hates you just for what you got between the legs, it doesn’t matter the grades you get, how smart, funny, nice or responsible you are. They’ll always hate their kids (at least unconsciously) because they regret they didn’t get the other gender. Don’t have kids if you’re THAT immature

@@kkokoko13 also, I dont dislike boys. What I dislike is the culture of misogyny focused around male vs female children. “I wanted a boy” “My husband is going to be upset if its a girl” “Are you hoping your baby will be a boy?” “My mother/father always wanted a boy and they got me instead” “Oh you dont want any more children? Well you have two girls dont you want to try for a boy?” Videos of mothers and fathers online being visibly upset or even angry at their gender reveal parties when they find out its not a boy, mothers and fathers exalting their sons exactly like is shown in this video, it’s so common most people dont even notice it but I do and it pisses me tf off.

@@CBrown86It’s Misandry and Misogyny in our country. At 10:00, you say this is rare, but it’s not. Women have been trained their whole lives to carry the “emotional labor” of a situation.the daughter check up, because they feel it’s their responsibilty, and someone has to check on mom. Meanwhile golden boy was never trained or expected to hold that task. And boys grow into men. Every year my mom and me and my sisters would plan things for Father’s Day, but Mother’s Day dad always kind of expected us to do the heavy lifting, and it was like this for other things too. Let’s just say I now have a great step dad.
