Of course everybody can make their own decisions and choose whatever path they want it's just going to be harder with a religious couple pursuing marriage with different religious views .. also I just thought about this unless someone wants to convert on their own before they met you it's really not going to be healthy that you're changing religions just to appease your boyfriend

As a Muslim women Yazans parents have no control in their emotions whatsoever. Brittany is clearly from America so of course, if Yazan didn’t explain to her how his family is and how Islam is (which they are sadly misrepresenting it and I’m very disappointed in them) how would she know what’s “respectful” in the parents eyes? She’s been so respectful like the whole time. Just because she’s mad at him while he tries to sweet talk her doesn’t mean she’s disrespecting him as she said he was being rude to her the whole day. Also pressuring her to become a Muslim to get married like really? No one should ever force anyone to any religion. In the Quran there is a verse that says don’t force anyone into Islam and they’re doing the exact opposite. From what I’m seeing they’re following more cultural stuff than Islamic stuff. Plus, telling someone to change into something they’re clearly not so quick like it’s easy OF COURSE ITS NOT. It’s like if you’re doing this particular sin over and over again and you have a hard time stopping and your friend says “oh it’s just *this sin* it’s easy to quit!” no it’s isn’t! It’s like them telling her to change in a matter of seconds it’s wrong. I’m really sorry for people who think this is Islam I promise you IT IS NOT. A women has the right to say no to her husband she is not a slave! Even slaves in Islam had the right to say no. This is how badly they are treating her.

Idk the very fact muslims kill in the name of Islam makes it a non peaceful religion, you're just more extreme version's of christian/catholic/lutheran/mormon/prodistant. Just another flavor of the religion that holds humanity back from greatness. Like they all do. Violent cults with primitive behaviors spreading trauma. Once humans move past the blind faith behaviors and start using their brains for science and growth of the mind with introspection. We'll all be in a better place. We can keep the family unit, good productive behaviors and teach morality without religion and/or whatever the American "left" is doing. Which also displays cult behaviors.
@rainjayriots9 ай бұрын
They read the same Quar'an you do. Whether you like it or not, they justify their actions with the same religious doctrine you follow. If you don't like that, perhaps you should deconstruct your own religion. As an ex-fundamentalist christian, you don't get to say 'Islam isn't like that' - because it sure as hell is for them, and they pray to the same 'god' you do.
@Kemit_the_frog9 ай бұрын
why are you saying that if you’re clearly not a muslim rainjay, As a muslim it’s true this is not how islam works because my parents didn’t force me to be a muslim but because I go to the mosque every weekend and … I know how important it actually is and honestly I’m so grateful to have a family like them. But if you have parents like azan of course people will misunderstand Islam.
@Yorio0o9 ай бұрын
@@rainjayriots rainjay what are you talking about? You know that no matter where you go in the world there will be bad people, people who misunderstand things and people who DO what they WANT. Of course we CAN say Islam isn’t like that because God wrote in the Quran everything perfectly. Humans aren’t perfect so of course someone isn’t gonna follow the Quran in the right way because they’re PEOPLE. For example, in Christianity it tells you to love your neighbor as yourself. Now, you see a Christian that hates their neighbor. So, just because this Christian hates their neighbor does that mean that ALL Christians hate their neighbor? Of course not! This is a simple concept. Moreover, not all Muslims are like Yazans parents. The Quran is perfect and the people aren’t period.

I once dated a Muslim man and he said I know you’re a Christian and I respect your religion so I’ll never tell or make you change. He liked that I was an independent woman and he wanted to raise a family in a household where both parents split the parenting/chores/bills down the middle. Everything was good for a while we had no big issues we couldn’t resolve together. Later on he told his parents about me and his mother was telling him that if I wanted to marry her son I was to convert to their religion and to stop working and become completely dependent on her son. So ofc I ran out of there as fast as I could tell he was so scared of his parents and let them control his life.
@IASHWAQ186 ай бұрын
I'm glad you got rid of this man who behaves like a child and lets his mother control him. But there's something you should know: his mother is psychopath and definitely crazy. In Islam, women are allowed to work, and many Muslim men marry teachers, doctors, engineers,business woman....etc. And Muslim men have no problem with this matter at all, when a man is confident and capable of himself and can prove himself to his wife without making her resign from her job and become bankrupt, this man certainly has no problem with his wife working, because some men do not feel confident and do not feel safe if his wife works, because he feels that at any moment she will leave him and abandon him and that she does not need him, In return, he makes his wife quit work in order to make her depend on him. He wants her to always be in need of him and his money, And of course this behavior is the behavior of cowardly and mentally ill men, not all Muslims are like this. But what do you expect from a sensible adult man who lets his mother control his decisions? Of course he'll be a coward. Most of the Muslim men I know are strong, capable and self-confident to the point that they put an end to their mothers and never let their parents interfere in their wives' affairs, and so all Muslim men should be because this is what Islam commands that the wife have her own home and servants of her own, and that her husband supports her and that no one else is responsible for his wife, Neither his mother nor his father nor anyone at all, no one interferes with his wife or controls her, but the sissy boy is the one who follows the words of his mother.
@IASHWAQ186 ай бұрын
And there's something else you should know: when a Muslim man approaches you and expresses interest in marrying you without asking you to change your religion, you should be aware that he is LYING No matter what he says or proves, don't believe him. In our Islamic religion, a Muslim man or woman cannot marry a non-Muslim It is forbidden for us Even if he strongly desires to marry you and claims not to care about religion, his family will be angry and threaten to disown him, and then he will comply with their wishes. Or he will simply lie to you and when he is sure that you fell in love with him and that you became obsessed with him and you will not leave him then he will show his true face and tell you that you should convert to Islam, and many Muslim men unfortunately do this thing and lie even though this behavior is forbidden by Islam.🤷♀

speaking from experience as someone who comes from an arabic religious family, this is sadly normalized, especially in the Middle East. In Middle Eastern culture, when a lady gets married to a guy, it's said that the now wife has to stay with her husbands family then. I absolutely disagree with how these parents were acting, extremely immature but common behavior. It's a sin in Islam to be forcing someone to wear the hijab or to force them into religion, along with somewhat enforcing the marriage by pressure. Okay but can I say as a Muslim woman that this has nothing to do with religion at all. I am very religious as well as my family and I get SOO much respect from both my family and Muslim men from the outside. I am also Arab and I honestly hate the Arab culture because this it that! Islam is always misrepresented and it’s so sad because now people go around telling and oppressed this oppressed that when I am not alhamdulillah!

What I love about this series is that reminds of a friend of mine. She watches the Cuban soap opera and then makes these resumes on Facebook so I know everything that's happening without watching the actual shit. Same here, so much fun, you put yourself through that suffering so we don't have to and we can all have a laugh

They aren't even religious to begin with...if they were they wouldn't be in such a program and he wouldn't be dating in case you didn't know...they are just trashy people, nothing to do with the religion...just because someone wears a hijab doesn't make them religious, it's their actions and the faith in their heart that does...we muslims know this better than anyone, but unfortunately these types of hypocrites are the ones always represented on media in purpose and thus are the ones who have the loudest voices

I think this more religion too....in Islam you not supposed to have boyfriend girlfriend relationship. They call it taaruf and they can't go alone until they marry..... Her dad is important, he has to witness and "give" the daughter to Yazan. Normally, they want the same Muslim partner. I think Yazan' family still very traditional.
@MidnightxCrow7 ай бұрын
They aren't even traditional, what kind of tradiitons are those, they are just trash and non-educated people.....neither the tradition not the religion tells you to act that way and ti separate the daughter from her family, this actually gors against all of those

@Ilikevillains04 ай бұрын
I know im too late but, both Yazan and Brittany are wrong, Brittany did this for fame and never liked Yazan, and Yazan shouldn't have picked a women who doesnt understand his culture, as a person who is muslim, we don't force people to join our religion, we don't instantly have weddings, plus my sister watches 90 fiance and she said that Brittany was doing things while she was with Yazan ( posting pictures with bikinis, doing 0nlyf@ns) which arent aloud in Islam, AND women don't have to fully respect her man, she can say no whenever she likes, men are the ones who are supposed to protect the women no matter what, thats why you dont believe everything you see on the internet, and Yazans parents are just toxic, so dont go around thinking that all arab muslims are like this
