लज़ार का पुनरुत्थान (Resurrection of Lazar)

ये कहानी लैज़र की है. जिसे येशु महीह, उसकी मौत के तीसरे दिन भी जीवित कर देते है. यीशु, मारथा और मरियम लाज़र की कब्र के पास जाते हैं। यह एक गुफा है और इसके द्वार पर एक बड़ा-सा पत्थर रखा हुआ है। यीशु कहता है, “पत्थर को हटाओ।” मारथा नहीं जानती कि यीशु क्या करने जा रहा है। वह कहती है, “प्रभु अब तक तो उसमें से बदबू आती होगी, उसे मरे चार दिन हो चुके हैं।” मगर यीशु उससे कहता है, “क्या मैंने तुझसे नहीं कहा था कि अगर तू विश्‍वास करेगी, तो परमेश्‍वर की महिमा देखेगी?”​-यूहन्‍ना 11:39, 40.
तब लोग पत्थर हटा देते हैं। फिर यीशु ऊपर स्वर्ग की तरफ देखकर प्रार्थना करता है, “पिता, मैं तेरा धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि तूने मेरी सुनी है। मैं जानता था कि तू हमेशा मेरी सुनता है। लेकिन यहाँ खड़ी भीड़ की वजह से मैंने ऐसा कहा ताकि ये यकीन कर सकें कि तूने ही मुझे भेजा है।” इस प्रार्थना से लोग जान पाते हैं कि यीशु जो भी करेगा परमेश्‍वर की शक्‍ति से करेगा।
फिर यीशु ज़ोर से पुकारता है, “लाज़र, बाहर आ जा!” लाज़र बाहर निकल आता है। उसके हाथ-पैर कफन की पट्टियों में लिपटे हुए हैं। चेहरा कपड़े से लिपटा हुआ है। फिर यीशु कहता है, “इसे खोल दो और जाने दो।”​-यूहन्‍ना 11:41-44.
बहुत-से लोग यह चमत्कार देखकर यीशु पर विश्‍वास करते हैं
This is the story of Lazarus. Whom Jesus Christ brings back to life even on the third day of his death. Jesus, Martha, and Mary approach the tomb of Lazarus. This is a cave and there is a big stone placed at its entrance. Jesus says, “Take away the stone.” Martha doesn't know what Jesus is going to do. She says, “Lord, by now he must be smelling, it has been four days since he died.” But Jesus says to her, “Did I not tell you that if you have faith, you will see the glory of God?”-John 11:39, 40.
Then people remove the stones. Then Jesus looks up to heaven and prays, “Father, I thank you that you have heard me. I knew that you always listen to me. But because of the crowd standing here, I said this so that they can believe that you have sent me.” Through this prayer people know that whatever Jesus does will be done by the power of God.
Then Jesus calls out in a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out!” Lazarus comes out. His hands and legs are wrapped in shroud strips. The face is wrapped with a cloth. Then Jesus says, “Untie him and let him go.”-John 11:41-44.
Many people believe in Jesus after seeing this miracle
