As young boy growing up in Namibia, Windhoek-Katutura my mother listened to these tracks and this track bring great memories and tears down my face. Hash times in Windhoek under Apartheid in the 80s but these kind of music kept us smiling hoping for better days!!! RIP son of the African soil. Working for myself now...I am no Madala! Power to the African man!

It's amazing that these guys produced such beautiful music considering they were a bunch of self-taught musicians. Very few black people could afford music instruments. There were guys who would buy an odd guitar or accordion which would become neighbourhood instrument. Neighbourhood hopefuls would practise using that instrument. Some would go on to be accomplished musicians. But road to success was doubly difficult.
