There's something somehow sweet about the naiveté of the animation. The film makers were either towing the party line because they were paid to do so or they actually believed in it. In either case what they made seems to really evoke a sense of awe and respect; as though the Soviets really were going to make a new and better world. When seen as a historical artifact there's almost a sense of loss. A dream that never quite manifested.

Lazerhawk, the sound that forces you to time-travel back to an era where only this shape of awesomeness exists. The pure sound of the 80s, the pure madness of the unique sound it fabricated. Its like stepping back in time, to realize you were born in the most epic times of the last couple of decades. Thank you Lazerhawk for creating a way to relive the past.

@@kidchan1850 a little late, but guessing the soviets were incredibly optimistic of the future "we will have technology beyond our imagination, uncover the cosmos in it's glory, right here, right now we must appreciate the life we have now as a sapling sprouts through modern asphalt the wonders of our motherland." The music itself is incredibly serene, happy, sad, nostalgic, hopeful, acceptance, the music is just a cool breeze on the ears as it pastels the imagination

This is the best piece of music I have ever heard and the animation goes beautifully with it. Listening to it makes me feel nostalgic about a futuristic city that doesn't exist and in the end of that video when the leaf grows and the children look in wonder as they witness a miracle is inspiring. This music makes me believe anything is possible it's been 2 years now and I'm still obsessed with this song

in the 80's, we estimated we'd be installed on mars by the year 2010. in the 90's we knew the 2005 PC would be full virtual with 3D, ultra connected immersive interfaces, all connected everywhere at any place for nothing with satellite broadband. fast electric cars, giant cities devoid of pollution thanks to nuclear power, and affordable supersonic flights, all the fucking future shit that exist but has decreased, and even technologies that are being abandoned, for the ones that creates most profit. result: it's 2015 and the "innovation" is glorified gameboys with touch screens, and some people base their life around it. all the rest is in decline. i don't "long for the past" i just think the civilization must advance in the right direction, that's where the actual system has fucked up. we have wars for oil, degenerate hipsters who calls themselves creative, religious freaks of all kinds (zionist/islamist/baptist/atheist) Anita Sarkezian giving lectures about what videogames should be, saluted by a horde of dumb SJWs, and Hilary Clinton running for US presidency despite all the shit people know about her. ain't that depressing?
