This is another reason why Odyssey (yes, I'm tired of talking about it too) isn't Assassin's Creed. I trust Ashraf with the next game and I can't wait to experience another classic Assassin's Creed opening.

The first time I was exposed to Assassin's Creed was an impulse buy at my local Gamestop where I picked up AC, AC:II, Brotherhood and Revelations all at once. This was the first time I was able to buy a game with my own money. The first time I remember the goosebump feeling is when I finished the first AC while my sister watched me play. Yes, she watched me play the WHOLE game, but mainly cheered every time I had to ride a horse. When Desmond stared at the wall, covered in blood, and even he went "What. The. Fu--!", my sister and I looked at each other and then scrambled over each other to get AC:II into the Xbox as fast as possible. That feeling to me is home. AC is one of the few series that have ever done that for me, even to this day.

The title card of Assassins Creed 2 is literally the best into to any game ever. When I first played it on a friends ps3, it was automatically my favorite game and still is so many years later. I was young and a kid but the series kept giving me honorable role models that I still think about a lot. I have my issues with some of the titles and some of the mechanics of the games and whatnot, but you said it better than anyone else. It’s that feeling of nostalgic familiarity. It feels like home starting up these games. Every time. They do have a special place in my heart. It’s something I know as part of my childhood. I know these characters and they had an impact. The games were fun and had very good lessons and values in them. The story was deep. It was a little hard for me to understand back then but the older I get, the more I appreciate the series and what it was. I’m sad that the series has gone to hell but I’m grateful for what it was and everything it gave me all those years ago. No matter what happens to it, the Assassins Creed series will always be my favorite and will always have a special place in my heart.

Unpopular Opinion: I love AC Odyssey. It's my favorite, and I've been playing AC since Day 1. Origins is my 2nd favorite. They both just had such perfect gameplay and beautiful world's to explore.
