In central defence. While Tavares and Marusic can play there, then that just means we move overstretch to the backs. Or if go 3-4-3-diamond and play all 4 backs with Pellegrini and Lazzari on wingbacks, just to go completely insane. Throw in Milani as a striker for good measure. Besides being annoyed at that we do not have a u23 Serie C squad to keep young players interested, then we are missing Dutu, Ruggeri, and Sardo in terms of squad depth. Or maybe Armini, RFM, and Bertini. We have had a period of 5 years or so, where the talent department just went to hell, and now we again have (had...) talents, and we cannot integrate them (is this because Baroni is new, and he needs to focus on getting to know the senior players first)? Bordon can play Serie A, and he might have enough level to play. We after all activated the buy-clause in this loan, so we must see something in him? I think he is considered the 5th CB, but as he is not list-B eligible, then we will not see him in EL. Bordon mainly played defensive midfield for primavera last season in front of Dutu and Ruggeri (Zazza also got a good load of minutes - I love Transfermarkt and their stats), so I guess he is also an option in our midfield? Speaking of primavera players... What happened with Magro? He looks like a future Serie A or B starter, but is he just straight up sold, on loan, or sold with buy-back to Verona? Was it part of the Noslin deal? Reminds me of throwing away Pinzi and Domizzi just to get Fiore and Giannichedda slightly cheaper. Looking as Noslin and Tchaouna I am also confused about, why is it we cannot use Cancellieri? Is this not the same type of player, at the same maturity, at the same level, but just less physically imposing? I just hope we can find the money in January and convince Napoli to sell Folorunsho, because we really need that trained-in-Lazio midfielder (why is Cataldi in Fiorentina? apparently neither player or club was looking to offload him according to statements, but suddenly he is playing in purple). As I see it, we need Folorunsho, we need ANOTHER #9 (who will not be registered in EL if we want Castrovilli there - unless Noslin proves before January that he can play there), and we need Hysaj squad registered (just sell/loan Lazzari to someone, who plays with real wingbacks, where he can be happy). Folorunsho can be registered as trained in Lazio i both tournaments, Hysaj will take Lazzaris spot (we can then find a proper right back solution in the summer), and then one of Noslin or Isaksen will have to leave on a loan for the striker. Or just both, and get me Cancellieri back! Pellegrini might also need a loan, and to be replaced, but since I only think we can register 3 new players in January (at least that is the rule for EL), then Hysaj, Folorunsho, and that #9... Cancellieri is u21 per the rules, and should not need to be registered (if I understand the rules correctly). So this: (might be sold or loaned out next season)[new not currently available]: Pro/Man/Fur*** Mar/[Hys] - Gila/Pat - Rom/Gigot - Tav/(Pelle) Rov/Vec - Guen/[Folorunsho**] ???/Tcha* - DB/Castro - Zac/Pedro Taty/Dia/[new?] ??? = Isaksen, Noslin, or Cancellieri Yes: - I know we cannot afford Folorunsho... - But Hysaj for Lazzari should absolutely be possible, and would fit our current style much better. And we can start integrating Hysaj in training already now. Maybe even try Lazzari at right wing (IN TRAINING...)? - I am being absolutely unreasonable towards Noslin, and he has only been playing in Serie A since January... But maybe he needs to go back to Verona and play some more? It is just annoying that we have 3 talents on RW, where we should just have one of the, as reserve... And I do not understand why that is not Cancellieri. He grew from his experience in Empoli, and I am honestly hoping we get him back next summer. Just imagine if this January, we did 3 switches which where: 1. Hysaj for Lazzari (already covered) 2. Folorunsho added as a "trained in Lazio" registered player (maybe Napoli are willing to listen to a loan offer now? Or maybe ADL is so annoyed that it is Cash-or-GTFO?) 3. Berardi for Isaksen (Berardi will be over his injury, and Sassuolo have moved on this season, so we might be able to get a loan - with some buy option we are never paying, 30m or something like that - if not Berardi, then maybe Orsolini if the CL adventure is over for him - Both Berardi and Orsolini can play a false-9 better than Noslin at the moment, and we would have an actual starter on RW) (Isaksen could do with a loan to Bologna or something)
