I have just found you on KZbin and I love your videos. I too decided as a woman in her 50s to go gray and although it took me a while to get used to it, I will never color my silver again. Because the back is still dark and the front & sides are silver I have now had purple added to my dark and I LOVE it! It's so much fun. I am currently watching your videos on the colors to use with the gray hair when it comes to make up. I wasn't much of a make up wearer, but with the gray I feel I have to wear it or I look bland. I am also struggling with my eye brows which are sparse, but also more gray than taupe. I found a skinny IT cosmetics eye brow pencilin gray, but it's $22 for very little product. This is where my real struggle is. Thank you for putting yourself out there, I relate to you so much.

Thank you so much! I finally cut the hair that you dreampt about, my hair is fine too, but I would spray it with 3 layers of hair spray which thickened after I dried it and put foam hair curlers on top of my head at night. Due to being sick of waking up with rollers. I cut it & purchased a hair piece. I haven't used it yet, but where & how do you keep them nice when not in use? Thank you again Monique for the tips! Love your helpful hints regarding hair and make up. I decided to go grey and started letting it grow out. That lasted 2 months! Then I stripped it and dyed it ultra light platnum. I'm hoping it will be more subtle as this much lighter color grows out.

I always love Messy buns,I almost wair them on a daily base.Most of the time I wear a high Messy bun that’s easier for me because I need to lay flat in my bed for 22hours a day,and then is a high bun the most comfortable,and it looks good on everybody.And most people think that it is a very difficult thing to do because it looks like you need to invest Some time in it,but it’s the quickest hairdo I know.I love it and it’s very beautifull on you Monique,and it’s totaly invissible that your hairscrunchy is a hairpiece.My hair is a little longer and curlier so I only wear a hairband and a few bobbi-pins,and sometimes I wear on the outside of the bun a hairscrunchy in the colour which match my clothes that day,so I have multiple colours and they are better for your hair because they prevent breakage.Thank you Monique for sharing this nice video and I realy enjoy that you post more often a video,Sending you lots of love,wendy❤️

I guess it would take a bit more work w/ longer hair, but still worth it, especially on a hot summers night where you wanna still look more put together, but don't want to have to blow dry your hair, only for the disgusting humidity to ruin "the do", & make all that sweaty hair stick all over your neck & face. I GOTTA get me one of those hair pieces! for sure. Your top is so cute! Can you please let me know where you got it!? I must have it!!! That would be pretty as a braid on the side back in with a side pony tail and then put that on to the side at the end of the braid kinda messy! Those were nice hairstyles!

Monique, when are you going to revamp vintage closet in corner by painting it and light distressing would be more on trend. A shade of eggshell, maybe silver grey, would look more Hollywood than how it is at the moment. It easy to do. After painting, use sandpaper to lightly distress corners and finish with wax. I am sure it would speak more I filming and be more up to date.

What does it tell you that you can say "hairspray" and then put on earrings and I'm totally there with you, thinking nothing of it....😂...love all of those hairdos. Karen T Amazon has several auburn hair pieces like this. I think if you see 30, it’s a lighter auburn and 33 is a darker auburn.

Karen T Same here with the fashion police! Go for it girl. I wasn’t lucky enough to be born a redhead but I’ve always loved auburn hair so I color mine too. I use these scrunchi hair pieces a lot so I try to get my hair colored to match. I wear mine long as well (53 here...don’t care) but some days I just don’t want to style it

You and are the complete opposites.....I have very thick hair that weighs so much that I get a head ache when I pulled it up. I love long hair on me but it is too much to handle in the south with all the heat and humidity. I have not found a cute hair style for my face and age group yet. I am still looking. Even my eye lashes are thick. When I apply mascara it always ends up on my brows.....I know, it sounds like a complaint, it is. All this hair is all over the house.

Great idea! I have had one of the hair pieces for some time now and do it just like your second style and always get compliments. I am even lazier... I chopped my hair off to just the length of the hair piece - I don't have to tuck or pin that part. Also when I got mine - the color just did not quite match. My hair is lighter than yours and I had ordered a platinum /white color, but I solved that with just a bit of light beige eye shadow lightly brushed in, now it matches great.

Brilliant styles, I use these elastic hair wraps often, but I never considered pinning my own hair into the wrap! Obvious, when you see someone else do it. Thank you. One question, when you do the high bun, what do you do with the hair falling loose at the back?
