World's Strictest Parents

World's Strictest Parents

Күн бұрын

The Fishers comprise a large and optimistic family of nine, with children ranging in age from five to 17 years. For a week, the Fishers take in two self-absorbed party girls who abuse the rules and put themselves in precarious situations. Rose Mary and Rick plan to show Amber and Stephanie that the Fishers' approach to life can help them too. Both girls soon show their stubborn sides -- but will a week of Southern discomfort turn the teens around? Or will they stand their ground and play it their way to the end?

Rosemary says "I want you to read them out loud", usually they ask "Do you want me to stay w/u while you read it, or do you want me to read it in front of me? I was shocked, & I thought it was wrong. I feel like the letters from the parents was something personal & it should of been Ambers decision to wanna read it in front of her or not, but she didn't give her that option. It was sad to hear Amber's mom say she barely hugs her. I'm always hugging my son.

100% disagree with the mom about the whole older sibling thing. Older kids get overlooked so often while younger ones often get away with everything and get the majority of the attention. It doesn’t matter how old or “mature” you are - that’s unfair and it builds up serious resentment. Each kid deserves to be treated fairly.

"Yes, sir", "Yes, mam"? That's way too extreme. What are these parents? Drill Sargeants? I call my dad sir sometimes and he HATES it! Even when I say "yes mom" or "Yes dad" to my parents, they don't like it. This is extreme compared to how I was raised. My mom is strict, but not that strict. And, my dad is for the most part, very lenient, cool, calm and collected. This is so extreme. Not liking it.

Nine of us turned out just fine with “yes sir, no ma’am” as well. Were you southern, military, both? We were strict pre-Vatican 2 Catholic + US Navy, both parents! Only thing that didn’t fit w/today is that we’re from New York.
