Thank you for uploading this! I did do something like this before but wondered if there was some other way... But wasn't sure, and the other times I believe I did fail. Thanks to this though, it worked! Note for anybody having any of the same problems as me: I got "BMP is not greyscale" from GIMP when I tried that. Changing the color mode to Greyscale gives the error of that Sai doesn't support the suppression thingy of it. Using PaintNet caused the brush to appear very transparent and iffy for some reason. In the end, how I solved it was to use just normal Paint to make it a BMP. Save it from Sai, put it into Paint, save it into BMP. Either way, good job with a very easy to follow tutorial o/

@@sebas310 Don't recall. I believe when I tried a different time to get it to work, this no longer worked. As of now I've abandoned Sai pretty much, after having tried to get the BMP to work for 1-2 hours. Using Clip Studio Paint nowadays.

your video saved my live once more xD i mean i already adore it so much that i can make my own brushes with this, made a grass brush and one for chains and for bushes and all this. but now i got a new pc and wanted to move my programm over to it so i could keep all my settigns and brushes etc. but for some reason the programm jsut didnt recognized the settigns or when i tried to recreate them it jsut didnt worked and i could not figure out why, soi decided to rewatch your video in the case that a folde ri forgot to copy maybe was hidden somewhere sneaky, well turned out i had the folder but in the wrong location. i moved it to the documents folder and now it works perfectly fine lmao but it seriously saved my day so thank you xD !

Edit: I FIGURED IT OUT YO, ITS BEEN LIKE 2 MONTHS. Turns out there is some kinda bug with paint net, it just messed up the bmp files somehow. I installed GIMP and exported a bmp file from there and DEAR LORD it worked. I'm so happy rn holy shit. Any time I try to make a scatter brush in sai 2 it just turns out transparent for some reason. And the best part is that I've made scatter brushes a while ago and they still work perfectly fine to this day. I thought maybe I was doing smth wrong, so I was like: "Ah, why not check out this tutorial? Maybe I'm just missing smth." But nope, I always do it the same exact way as you do in the video, so honestly, I have no idea what's wrong. Anyone got any ideas?

@@Akiira_002 Like it doesn't work at all for you? If that's the case then maybe you just put smth in the wrong folder by accident? Or maybe the bmp file isn't right? The bmp file has to be in grayscale (8-bit depth like you see in the video) and also needs to be quadradic (so basically a square). It also has like a minimum size, I think it was 128x128 pix? I don't remember exactly, but Sai would tell you if it was too small if you tried to select it. Also make sure you're using a scatter brush, cause idk maybe you're just using a regular brush by accident. If you don't figure it out just respond again, I'll try and help ya out.

@@snowygrill4705 idk man..... I mean I did it as in the video. Just ctrl+C ctrl+v the settings of the scatter brush and downloading it at 8 bit and with a measure of 1024x1024 and placing it on the scatter folder.... And it stills doesn't work....

@@enazia619 I have fixed it I didn't use the paint.net program to make it 8-bit lol but the problem is when I choose the scatter brush texture its white but on the edges it's grey and it's not working alright I was trying to fix it but no clue how to fix it

thanks , i have make the same picture but it never work, appareantly the image needed to be 8 bit, i made new scater brushes with 2k canvas and 100 dp1, then export it to PNG file, then i'm converting it to 8 bit bmp file...

This isn't working for me. Mine had a star scatter that I wanted to just modify into a different star shape. Kept the name, file location, ect the same. Just changed the img. It didn't work. I re-saved from GIMP. Didn't work. Saved it as a new file with a different name, config copied and renamed to match. Not showing up. And another odd thing is that there's multiple choices in my program, but in my program files, it only shows ONE template in there. Is anyone able to help?
