Gaming was a cult hobby. But developer’s obsession with accessibility and making it enjoyable for everyone so as to sell more and more copies is not helping the industry itself. That’s the one thing that I hate about modern day releases. When a game keeps telling me which button to press for the action which I have performed 100s times or tells me where to go so as to progress, it breaks the immersion. As a gamer, it should be me who has to remember the controls and pay more attention to the environment while playing. I love games with a learning curve. Games that challenge my skills, reflexes and intelligence. Games that I need to spend time with to get better with it. Games that are mean to me. A game that doesn’t hold my hands and make every victory feel earned. From Software is the only modern day developer that is sticking to this traditional route of game development.

The thing is that modern games lack creativity like it is easy to make a game as realistic as possible but it is harder to make a game with your own art-style like if you compare gta 3 and gta vc even if you dont play any games you can still tell that both are totally different games by seeing their art-style and by it we can also observe their theme as well, so just think how different the games looked from each other even though they belonged to same franchise. On the other hand if you took a image of scenery from modern games like new god of war games and new assassin creed's games, it is very hard to tell them apart since their art-style is now so similar even though their theme , gameplay or mechnics dont have anything in common and dont belong to same franchise.

Very true . I think there is a saturation in video game industry because of the lack of new technology and ideas . I think the main reason for this saturation is ROCKSTAR GAMES. Don’t get me wrong , I love grand theft auto but it’s been ten years since we have received a new GTA from them . If you look at the history of video games , when ROCKSTAR GAMES release a title they unknowingly release new ideas and inventions in gaming and rest of the world follows . Trust me after GTA 6 releases, there will be changes in other games for sure!

True Ayush bhai. I am still completing the original RE4 and have to say it has an amazing feel. But looking at the latest remake it is amazing and does a lot of things different but still I got bored in a lot of sections. Spider man 2 was the first sony game I was excited about and the combat was really good. But after some time I literally started feeling it was another ActiVision Spider man 3 as you need less strategy and more faster fingers. It is sad that now there's very less development. Take Cyberpunk 2077 as an example as well. The game had amazing combat and story but still it was a hell of a boring venture. You just have to fight against bosses who will eventually appear thrice. It was so frustrating that I didn't even care when the updates were rolling out. It was Phantom Liberty at the end which brought my interest back in CDPR games. Back in time when yhe Witcher series was wholesome and amazing but deep doen even I know that Witcher 4 will just be good and not legendary. Accounting from the terrible voice acting and quality of recent games. The entire tone chabges to a different level. And damn, I no longer play newer games. I'm literally enjoying older gamecube and ps2 games as they are both nostalgic and fun. I wish that companies do keep space for new games as well. Not gonna ignore AC Mirage, the worst Assasins creed in my opinion. Literally terrible combat system and terrible voice acting. I hope that devs are paid enough money and time so that at least they make more good decisions.

The only AAA game I can count on is The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. CDPR literally published the new gen edition but gave it free to all the users who already bought Witcher 3 from Steam, or Epic Games. Meanwhile, GOG already gave free Witcher 3. Moreover, there are some 10 years old AAA games that I still play and get the same goosebumps such as Batman Arkham Knight, AC Black Flag, Darksouls 3, etc.
