I do agree with your viewpoint and understand your frustration. But at the same time, we also have to look at the other side. There’s no argument that Palworld has copied Pokémon characters, their playstyle, and features, which were copyrighted. That’s clear copyright infringement. But I don’t think they’re doing something wrong. What if a game like Black Myth: Wukong gets copied and some company makes a multiplayer version of it or something, and a lot of players go there? Wouldn’t we be supporting Black Myth: Wukong for their copyright issue? Yes, Nintendo made some bad games and doesn’t allow other studios to do stuff and all, but at the end of the day, they made Pokémon, and they own it. Seeing that Nintendo didn’t ask for millions in compensation, I think Palworld can get away with it without much trouble by just changing some features. And I don’t think gamers lost anything here. As you said, the customer is king. These big studios know that, and they know it’s the only way they can make money, so they’ll try to give us good games. I know Ubisoft and other companies aren’t doing a great job, but Rockstar and others are, right? So, I think this isn’t as big a deal or threat to gamers as it seems. I do understand your viewpoint, though.

They couldn't sue Palworld for monster design because it's not identical or 1:1 that's why they went with the scummy tactics. And here is another thing, this Patent outside of Japan would never work and the fact that it affected Palworld is because it's a Japanese company while Nintendo have such a strong connection inside Japan. Outside of Japan, EU and Australian law would prevent such things like patent game mechanics to prevent monopoly and increase competition😃

I mean it may be, but if in that case Nintendo sues Palworld devs, then it would be justified. But I don't think that the devs are that stupid. They surely would know the consequences of plagiarism. I haven't played Palworld or Pokemon myself, but as far as my research goes, Palworld is in many ways different from Pokemon. It just derives some inspiration in character models. But anyhow legal battle is on the matter of patents and none of them concerns character models (as far as I have understood this controversy). Pokémon isn't a Nintendo game, when we look correctly, it's a third party exclusive game, developed and founded by Game Freak and Creatures aka 2/3 of the Pokémon Company. And those 2 started the lawsuit, not Nintendo itself. But there are a joint venture so, yeah they have to go with it.

i have different perspective here having an inspiration is good but still kaafi cheeze copy hi hai miene apni life mien pokemon kaafi consume kiya hai several games kheli hai even cards collection bhi hai so here the main issue kaafi jyada similarities hai for ex as mentioned in the video itself palsphere hai woh pokeball jaisa aur usko different kar sakte the even name bhi same kyu rakhna hai and some pals look same like very important pokemons itself like my favourte lucario as anubis electobuzz as Grizzbolt Cinderace as Verdash and more yes it is fun to play there is no doubt about it but at the end having a similar mechanic jaisa video mien zelda aur ac mien bataya miene zelda nahi kheli aur video se sirf aisa laga ki unhone bus city view wala feature copy kara rest same hai pokemon ki already some similar IP(s) hai like digimon yokai watch and more yes nintendo is a very big corp who is known to exploit people but i think that this time they have an edge rest it was just my pov apne different povs zarur batana guys but bina gaali galoch ke (i know yaha ki audience kaafi mature hai but still)

The way I see it nobody should be able to patent a frog looking creature, a grass monkey, electric man or a blue turtle. It is dumb. Many Pokemon themselves are copies of real life animals. Throwing a ball to capture stuff. This game mechanic is so simple it's dumb to patent it because you can literally replace it with many things and the game won't change. Imagine someone patented a dragon and now nobody can use dragons in rpgs.

🤡 imagine glazing with sales and lagacy. Scarlett violet looks like trash. It runs like trash while looking like trash (while many better looking games run better on the switch). Pokemon is the biggest franchise and still they won't add voice to characters which is present in basic indie titles nowadays. They won't improve anything and when they do it's mostly underwhelming. They are so big that they can make way bigger products than palworld but they won't and the answer is your comments. It's dumbass people who will keep buying the games no matter what. Monster hunter Stories is waaaaay better Pokemon game than Pokemon in every aspect. And it's available on the switch too. So no it's not a hardware limitation.

​@@ZaidAyoub-wb8zsyou are the one coping by comparing the merch sales and global popularity of a game and anime which has been on the market for more than 2 decades and the one which released in like this year -2nd of all Pokemon didn't invented the monster taming and training mechanics, it was Megami Tensei and Dragon Quest -3rd the fact that the large company like Nintendo had to patent a PokeBall like mechanic to sue Palworld while previously there were tons of games with the same mechanics shows that Nintendo is actually worried -4th this Patent wouldn't work anywhere outside of Japan because Nintendo has such an power in Japan while Palworld also being a Japanese company but anywhere outside of Japan, EU and Australia law will prevent such patent to be followed because of monopoly and lack of competition caused by patent game mechanics
