I love everything Soul did, he was cleaner in every round, Franqey tried doing tics on the first round too and they didnt look good at all but this is one of those battles I can see why it went the way it did. Of all the amazing things Soul did I could see what he wasnt doing too. It's a battle, get across that stage into.your opponents territory, challenge him... it's more than just a performance. Franqey wasnt looking at all as technical as Soul but he looked like a more seasoned battler and it stuck out to me. That first set no doubt was the best. Pure fire from Soul.

OGs GOTTA GO!!!! This is a prime example of it!!! OGs don’t explore at all man... franquey only focused and fixated on the same ole popping vocabulary. Then other hand you look at geniuses like soul who expanding the vocabulary as well as focusing on control and mastering his body as well. If you look at this video franquey control all over the place, he got no control of the legs which jus makes his moves look so basic next to soul. I mean souls style is a perfect example of what mastering the body looks like. I mean jus look at 1:40 when he doesn’t even have to hesitate as his legs carry him to the ground while his upper body is unphased. Franquey didn’t stand a chance but because the OGs are so against the new age popping we’re gonna stay in the past 🤷🏾‍♂️

Franqey displayed a more range of hitting concepts at a high level. Soul had amazing isolations, dime stops, and animations, but displayed very little conventional hitting. Even if Soul was the better dancer, the decision was that Franqey was the better popper.
