absolutely amazing, do they speak Syriac in daily usage or is it just a liturgical language?. If so, it's probably not that hard to learn in that area of the world. Arabic does sound pretty similar. (almost like they come from the same language family 😄)

Most Maronites use Syriac as only a liturgical language, just like the Latin church with Latin. Syriac is used only for few prayers.

Syriac is the new version of Aramaic, and Arabic is derived from Aramaic

@@mdhr_i I don’t know where you get your information from. But according to my sources, Arabic is indeed a Hebrew dialect combined with an Aramaic dialect that has changed a lot over time. And that is very probable since the first Arabs were most probably Jews. But Arabic is influenced by Persian as well. That’s because Persians used to trade a lot with Arabs.
