In the 1980's my family were 'first nighters' at the Greenwich Theatre. I saw many wonderful productions, but the first night of Another Country has to be one of the best, if not THE best that we saw, that I have ever seen. I have never forgotten it. Rupert's performance that day was very special.
@timellis772429 күн бұрын
Rupert is undoubtedly one of our finest living actors. If you have never seen 'Another County' then do so today. Somehow fate has consistently put him at the right place at the wrong time. I hope that his finest work is yet to come.

I moved into to the centre of Glasgow in 1978, a time of enormous change in Glasgow, the phrase ‘Glasgow’s Miles Better’ was coined. There was an amazing energy in the city. Buildings were cleaned up, music, fashion and arts developed at an astonishing pace. I no longer live there, but I try to go back regularly . There are two guys with a fruit stall beside the former ‘Chelsea Girl’ shop and Marks and Spencer in Argyll Street, they have been there since the early 80’s! Still love the city, the humour and the people.

Everett laments having not figured things out timely. But in fact his life is a portrait of a creator, making things that didn’t exist before they existed in the thinking mind. In other words Everett has lived his life exactly as we all are intended to live it. Who we are, as we are, having not existed until we are it.
