Whenever she spoke (perfect) English, everyone assumed (even Israelis and Americans) that she was American. In fact, on more than one occasion, we'd be overheard talking in a shop, and when we were buying things, I'd attempt to converse in broken Hebrew, whilst the cashier would respond in Hebrew, and then turn to my girlfriend and attempt to talk to her in broken English. Mind you, to be fair, I doubt many Israelis would learn English with an accent like his!

Public opinion and support for Israel was between 20 and 30 points higher in Europe/North America before/on Oct 7 and there have been similar drops in other parts of the world. If that continues for much longer, during the next wave of elections, pro-Israel Western powers will become either anti-Israel Western powers, or at best, neutral to Israel powers. Considering Israel is outnumbered vastly by its neighbours and has few allies in the region, Israel CANNOT afford to lose Western support which is what makes its current course so curious.

That chopper hit 70 vehicles without any intelligence about who was in the cars. IDF tanks hit kibbutz buildings with high exlposive rounds, killing hostages and Hamas.
