He was probably being observed in hospital, but the rest was a Tory PR stunt for the "Thoughts & Prayers" mob to support him after making a total mess of handling the pandemic.

@@1gerard47 sorry, Gerard, I see I wasn’t clear. Well you asked for it. Just one example. The labour Government spent £400 per head on IT training for teachers. When it materialised it consisted of an interactive cd each. The twelve members of my department each recieved their own copy at a total cost of £4800. I had to explain to the team that this was what the money had been spent on and that no one seemed to care about the money that could have been spent on resources if we had shared one and that they were expected to spend 21 hours of their own time, unpaid, to complete the course in one month. They asked questions and I laughed, not with contempt for the children deprived of resources or insensitivity to the exploitation of the teachers or the squandering of taxes or the misleading of the general public, but at the unacceptable ridiculousness of the situation. In the sound of that press secretary’s laughter I hear only an echo of my own helpless incredulity. The more I watch her the more I think she was very poorly treated by Boris and the Media.

Truss had constantly defended Boris and she still maintains that Boris didn't deserve the criticism he got. The Conservatives have not learned a thing from Boris's disastrous "leadership", so we can all look forward to more of the same. What a depressing outlook for our country

Wasn't there an obscene amount of money given to Cummings for his moonshot project (never heard of again) and to their mates for PPE too? Those might have been in there, I just started shaking my head in despair about half way through!

The first is correct, though he openly admits he was duped, the second not so much as he did vote for Corbyn

@@alexanderstefanov6474 Noone knows who anyone votes for. Every single tory asked rejected the idea of Johnson being tory leader right up until he was elected tory leader, then everyone talked about how terrible he was until he got voted PM. Throughout 2019 I listened to O'Brien talk about how politically homeless he was, finding endless false equivalency between Labour's imperfect campaigning and messaging, and the outright lies, elitism and endless culture war nonsense of tories. Close to the election he was commending multimillionaires like High Grant for pushing people to the lib dems. Excuse me while I continue to never trust liberals.

Here's something nobody mentioned....Barnard Castle The most important employer in Barnard Castle is Glaxo Smithkline, which has a large pharmaceutical manufacturing plant on the outskirts of the town which employs around 1,000 people.[25] GSK has invested £80 million into the plant since 2007.[26] So why was he there then ?
