The way the outfit editor works is fucking amazing! Especially if you give us an option to lock it so that only those outfits will be used by townies. Like that is so amazing! If someone is playing a different time period or just want to make world be to their liking. This also negates the chaos outfits. Love it! Seriously I love it so much!

I will admit I do like the outfits. They fit nicely. I like that glare we see in the glasses. I always look for realistic details and I like that! I think we are seeing a lot here before early access and I have to credit the team on that. Only thing I stress on is the character arms or shoulders that are off and the hair looking bit funny. Other than that I am seeing improvements and I actually love the high heel shoes we see here during the video. Very stylish.

actually from what i saw in this video, looks like we can control the positioning of the shoulders and arm length so it could just be the game creators are really bad at creating characters. The hair texture is annoying though

I think some characters like the girl from 2:05 look great. But others have unproportinal bodies or have a different art style which is a little jarring. However, the people are still starting to look way better.

love the concept but still would like to know how e can create new clothing/object mesh and add it to the game. Also I really wish the hair would change. The texture looks really weird like playdoh or something. Also the characters legs don't seem to straighten fully when they walk... could this be adjusted?

@@tybuddy100 Not at all as this was the main focus in The Sims 2. Everything after The Sims 2 has been lazy to which clothing is free which makes Get To Work clothing stores useless. Bad core gameplay vs real simulation is always better than rabbit holes and a fridge selling you food.

I like Sims 3 and do like fridge shopping and being lazy, so cheating to even speed things up 😅 Everyone should play their own style and for this we need the tools and objects for. There are many tunings possible, also a No-fridge-shopping.

One thing the UI would benefit A LOT is the use of icons, it would be easier to discern between options

Alot of clipping issues on model so I just really hope they are keep improving character model and hope they figure out how to minimize clipping issues for outfits and accessories there some ways to fix that like by calculating every geometry mesh in PhysX in realtime or something like that but not sure if nowadays our modern GPUs can already handle it on so many characters at once so I just hope they figured something out and improve character models further.

What can be expected for the future of hair? Will modders be able to update the graphics similar to how we change the graphics of hair in Sims? Will the graphics of hair be improved as LBY becomes more developed? I also noticed that micro animations like hair moving and skirts twirling as the Cim is turned are extremely choppy, will this also be addressed in the future?

Wow, the character library looks nice and diverse. The characters look great, their body shapes and appearances are different. I see a short woman and man with a big body shape. Can't wait to create characters and build any lots as well.

The characters arms still look really bad! I really hope this is fixed soon. It's just very distracting every time I look at the characters and their arms are not matching the rest of the body properly.

Being able to make custom premade outfits is amazing! But I'm also super excited that we can create our own NPCs to add into the world. We can create our own lore and our own worlds but also share them with others. I'm really excited about that.

Looks like characters are improving their overall looks, but my attention keeps focusing on the shoulders/arms area clipping with the rest of the body in some points. Other than that they look pretty good. I hope once the Early Access is on, the team will start/continue to work on the animations and facial expressions of characters, reflecting their personality and their mood, shifting based on their feelings. That would be THE "other-game" killer and I'm all in for it, can't wait to see that as they have let me down for far too long now. XD

This! All their modding videos are just Cim creator not really game changing mods that I'm use to with sims. Yes they said there will be another video that covers this, but Sims has game changing mods that effect how Sims look which is what I was looking forward to seeing demonstrated in this video. I noticed that in some cases the base character creator seems to share some of the functionality of the behind the scenes modding tool. For example there is a button that has a shirt with a plus, as well as a button to create new colour presets when selecting a clothing item. Is the difference that the outfits/colour presets created in the character editor vs the modding tool won’t be able to be shared on the workshop? I’m a little confused as this seems like way more work if you are just using base game assets.

I love how amazingly different the people looked Willam had in his save characters, sure he probably made them that way, but I have noticed it bit in other videos, I haven't seen any of the randomized characters dressed all silly or being basically a copy of others, like in that other famous game! I admit I was really hoping for a detailed look at physically creating a character, meaning the bodies and face alone, with clothes, I mean I don't mean without any, they can have their undies on, but I want to see the frame of the characters, especially the females, since we are so limited with The Sims, even TS4! Like all females have really long necks and legs, I have noticed in TS4, while the men have short necks, and it's hard to adjust either one, the mens legs don't seem to be as long, though, it's like the females legs are extra long between the ankle and the knee, which makes them look weird! So I am happy that we will be able to alter the length of arms, legs, necks and so on, on both! But I still want to see different ways you can create different characters, all we've seen of females are kind of short, ones, with short arms, legs and tiny shoulders, and big heads and boobs, also tiny hands too! I want to see a tall woman with long arms/legs, large hands and feet and broad shoulders, lol! Also long bodied, not short bodied like what I have only seen so far! Also I know we are talking about character creating in this one, but I was trying to build my childhood home, in TS4, and then realized I really couldn't, mostly because they have no Chain link fences, in fact NONE of The Sims games have normal chain link fences, with matching gates! Not those really tall ones with barbed wire either, but just normal size ones, not the size either of all their fences, which are all rather short! The only tall ones are actually too tall, even if they were chain link fences! And so many don't even have matching gates, I have noticed that with ALL The Sims meaning TS1, TS2, TS3 and TS4 have no chain link fences, which where I live in Michigan US, chain link fences are the most common type of fencing around peoples homes, after them it's the wood ones! So I am hoping we will get some chain link fences in this game, so maybe I can finally create my childhood home right! Different heights will be fine too, as long as we have a medium size too, not just tall ones or the usual short fences they have in The SIms games! Oh and matching gates for all fences, that's been a problem with The Sims from day one, to me!

This game is looking better and better. I love that instead of conflicting with each other, the mods have priority. Everything is looking extremely user friendly! I just hope it'll be easy to make mods to make furry characters in the game. The only lifesim game that has a furry mod that I like is Sims 4. And I can't stand Sims 4 anymore, furries in LBY would be a dream come true. I have so many character ideas for my world

It's weird that the reflections of the eyes are fixed onto the eyeris. Realistically it should be fixed where the light source is and your eye freely moving about without it locked on to the eyeris.

When it comes to characters a lot of life simmers love the cartoon feel of the sims 4, many prefer realism with coarse body hair and flowy head hair, but some prefer a more anime looking shape with the stringy hair and clean body. So for character animation and customization, what will be possible with this software in the future?

I feel like the age detail is not accurate enough but I’m sure sure that will improve.

For the characters to be perfect for me they'd need to have better posture, the light reflections on their eyes not being locked to their eyeris, the female calves being reduced and maybe giving them more hips, the characters having mood expressions, their eyes not moving around frantically and them locking their eyes at anything in particular even in create a character mode but not them just staring all the time, like they look and then look away occasionally. The arms are a big issue, like not having it look like a crab's claw, straighten out their arms, widen their shoulders. Females and males having their own distinct standing positions. Then on the side the characters would feel livelier to me if they had voices rather than standing silent even when talking. Freckles and other things like cleft chin, teeth gaps should be options, and not just one type of cleft or freckle, as well as body moles, if the character has a widow's peak or not.

Developers could you add for future reference a similar modding feature to skyrim se/ fallout 4 Bodyslide and outfit studio. I know that The team already made those options in game, but perhaps theirs something about this feature called "body presets" from bodyslide and outfit studio which it gives us the option to create our modded default body presets withing the mod itself in fact this could help when in character creator to make our characters even bigger with the sliders when we start the game. I guess I'm suggesting with an idea that the team could derived from. :)

Question: how do we understand that a year has passed? Or is it the year...? At the bottom right is written the month and the day, the year where it is written? If I wanted to do the Decades, I can change the number of the year for example 1982, 1930, 1882, 1640, if there is not put it in the future. Thanks ❤

Might still be able to run it if you have an i3-12100, albeit your laptop will probably run a higher temp than usual and you wouldn’t be able to play it on the highest settings.

The only thing I'm not vibing with this game is the "Alpha CC" look it has. I never enjoyed when games tried to be "realistic" because they always start looking the same, with no point of view in art direction.

it would be nice if we had the option to make outfits available for non player characters outside of avatar creation, if certain conditions are met like having a specific trait, job or skill.

I think op means for like delivery drivers and such. Not characters that we'll be able to control.

​@@serenitycox217Yeah he just showed that in the video. They had outfits for delivery drivers, waiters, etc and you could change the default outfit for all of them.
