You can go even faster by putting in the 22T pinion. The stock is 17T for the truggy. I have the truggy and because of the taller body, i can put in a 4200mah shorty pack by laying it on its side. I've also tried 3s but the rear diff outdrive cups got destroyed. The dog bones dug into them and formed a deep groove which affected the driving. I replaced them and haven't put in the 3s since. The esc is so good because.it's programmable. Being able to set the braking power really adds another level of control and cuts down your lap time. I run mine on road only with touring slicks and it 's as fast as some touring cars. Other mods i have done is changing to rear cvd, 19T pinion, adding anti-roll bars, led and a fan for the motor. The new flysky 4 channel receiver makes this possible. The best RC car i've owned. Wish it had been the first i bought.

Would adding a 22T pinion cause cogging though? As soon as these pinions go higher they seem to start choking on other cars.
@Diamondbac3 жыл бұрын
@@scottd1342 I have put on the 19 for a year and have never experienced any cogging. I have the 22 but can't put it on because i stripped the pinion gear grub screw :p. I have to reiterate how awesome this car is with touring tires. It's as fast as touring cars. The only down side is the inside front tires wear might fast because of the caster angle.

@@scottd1342 For some reason, I can't post links. KZbin has blocked them... Just as a disclaimer, I run on an outdoor RC dedicated track. Results will differ if running in the street. GQ-R901R-24IM-DWH-36 36 Shore & 24 Medium Insert Touring Car Tires RIDE 24mm Pre-Cut Slick Tires w/LT Inner (4pcs) The GQ have amazing grip. They run great straight out of the package, no traction compound needed. For me, I only run them in the rear because running them in the front causes traction rolls. To compensate, I have to slow down more when cornering, which isn't my style. With Ride at the front, you get more under steer but you can corner more aggressively. I find this setup has the best balance of grip and slide.

Runs nicely, as expected of LC. That 4500kv setup just works really well for this car. Runs pretty cool, good torque/speed balance, and pretty efficient too

Nice mate🤘👍 Most of those cheap 2s lipos are about 25-30c max, and that motor and esc should never overheat on that car, iv got a similar setup in my HSP 1/12 2wd, never heats up and I managed 93kph. Gear it up and go again😄🤘

you really need a high performance quality minimum of 50 C rated lipo battery to get the very best performance from what the LC RACING cars are capable of achieving . That is what LC RACING suggests and provides as a minimum with their RTR lipo version cars , and are provided with a high quality GENS ACE minimum of 50 C rated high quality performance 2S lipo battery with their lipo specced RTR cars . The RTR lipo version cars come fitted with a deans connector as standard . The LC RACING lipo version cars that come with the high quality GENS ACE 50 C rated high performance battery and should easily do 35 mph on 2S , and 50 mph on 3S without even breaking a sweat in just average and normal 20 ° Centigrade warm weather conditions .

I think you've talked me into buying one of these next. I cancelled the 144010 order over at Makerfire. Just wasn't happening and I want this higher quality build. Love the way it performed on that 3S. 80 km/h is great and fast enough for me. Did you ever mod this car further -- such as use a larger pinion for more speed?

Hey Scott these LC Racing buggies are definitely better quality than its knock off copies from WLTOYS. I haven't modded this one as yet, still running as it out the box, tbh I think its fast enough as is 👍

Took my F540 motor swapped 124019 out yesterday and wow that thing is fast, then I hit a tiny bump went airborn, tumbled and smacked a mailbox post so fast lol. Only lost a rear LCA pin, going to use some 2.5mm steel rod to replace it hopefully. Motor cogs in grass sometimes, but I need to tweak radio settings and car probably needs lower gearing.
